Abstract
La herramienta de perforación orientable giratoria y el sistema descrito en la presente combinan ambas técnicas de point-the-bit y push-the-bit para cambiar activamente la dirección de la trayectoria del pozo. En este sistema, la deflexión de la broca se limita a un solo grado de libertad con relación a un sistema de coordenadas que se fija y gira con la herramienta de perforación orientable giratoria, dando como resultado una fijación simplificada de la mecánica de montaje de brocas y la unidad de polarización. Además, la dirección del pozo se realiza mediante el control de la dinámica de fase espacial y la amplitud de las deflexiones de pistón bidireccionales simétricas coherentes de la broca con respecto a un punto de referencia terrestre fija cuando la herramienta está girando, señalando y empujando la broca simultáneamente. La amplitud y la fuerza de las deflexiones de brocas se pueden controlar de forma variable durante las operaciones de dirección para ajustar dinámicamente la tasa de acumulación instantánea según sea requerido. Cuando la dirección no está activa, la broca puede ser bloqueada mecánicamente en la posición neutral.
