Abstract

La eficacia de codificacion de un codec de audio usando una herramienta de filtro de armonicos controlable, conmutable o aun ajustable mejora ejecutando el control dependiente de la armonicidad de esta herramienta usando una medicion de estructura temporal ademas de una medicion de armonicidad con el fin de controlar la herramienta de filtro de armonicos. En particular, la estructura temporal de la senal de audio es evaluada de modo que dependa del pitch. Esto permite lograr un control adaptado a la situacion de la herramienta de filtro de armonicos de modo que cuando el control se realice solamente en base a la medicion de armonicidad y se decidiera contra o se reduzca el uso de esta herramienta, a pesar que el uso de la herramienta de filtro de armonicos aumentaria, en tal situacion, la eficacia de codificacion, la herramienta de filtro de armonicos se aplica, mientras que en otras situaciones donde la herramienta de filtro de armonicos pueda ser ineficaz o aun destructiva, el control reduce la aplicacion de la herramienta de filtro de armonicos adecuadamente.
