Abstract

The present invention relates to a device for mixing beverages and sealing the opening in the lid of the disposable cups in which such beverages are served. This device comprises a sliding mixing element and a hollow tubular part. The sliding mixing element has a wing, a rod and a stopper at the lower end thereof; the hollow tubular part is inserted into the rod of the mixing element, and the present device is sent in this form to consumption centres, where the final users slide the mixing element down to the lower end of the hollow tubular part if they wish to stir the beverage, or slide the mixing element up to the medium part of the hollow tubular part, through the opening in the lid of the disposable cup, until the stopper at the lower end of the mixing element seats under pressure in the opening, preventing the beverage from spilling through the opening while being carried by the user.
