Abstract

Se presenta una guía de luz (201) que comprende un elemento transparente. El elemento transparente comprende una primera superficie (203) para actuar como una superficie de ingreso de luz y una segunda superficie (204) para actuar como una superficie de salida de luz. La segunda superficie comprende elevaciones (205) para dirigir una parte de la luz hacia direcciones hacia un lado con respecto a una dirección en la cual otra y la parte más grande de la luz salen del elemento transparente a través de la segunda superficie. Cada elevación es formada para proporcionar reflexión interna total para un haz de luz sobre un primer punto de la superficie de elevación y refractar el haz de luz reflejado sobre un segundo punto de la superficie de elevación para dirigir el haz de luz hacia un lado. La luz dirigida hacia un lado permite a un observador, quien observa la guía de luz desde un ángulo de observación pequeño, ver fácilmente si la luz está encendida o apagada.
