Abstract
Un soporte para una sonda optoacústica incluye una parte que contiene el extremo de una sonda formada a partir de material que es sustancialmente opaco a la luz que emana de una ventana óptica de una sonda. La parte que contiene el extremo de la sonda tiene un tamaño como para contener el extremo activo de la sonda y tiene un ajuste ceñido en él cuando la sonda optoacústica se inserta en él, y tiene poco o ningún contacto con la ventana óptica y los lentes acústicos de la sonda. El soporte de la sonda también evita que una sonda de soporte interior se deslice lejos del extremo que contiene la sonda. Una guía del cable se aleja del soporte de la sonda para aceptar un cable de conexión que sale del extremo proximal de la sonda, y por lo tanto para reducir presión en el alivio de tensión y suavizar el ángulo de curvatura del cable de conexión.
