Abstract

Esta invención se refiere a los métodos para la recuperación de alcoholes C3-C6 a partir de soluciones acuosas diluidas, tales como caldos de fermentación. Tales métodos proveen productividad volumétrica mejorada para la fermentación y permiten la recuperación del alcohol. Tales métodos también posibilitan una reducción en el uso de energía en la producción y el secado del caldo de fermentación utilizado debido al incremento en la concentración efectiva del producto de alcohol mediante el proceso simultáneo de fermentación y recuperación que incrementa la cantidad de alcohol producido y recuperado por cantidad de caldo de fermentación secado. Por ende, la invención permite la producción y la recuperación de alcoholes C3-C6 a bajos costos de capital y menores costos de operación.
