Abstract

Una composición termofusible en la forma de perlas y/o polvo, con un tamaño de partícula de 1400 pm o menos que comprende de aproximadamente 40 a aproximadamente 70 por ciento en peso de un copolímero de bloque estirénico selectivamente hidrogenado (HSBC), y de aproximadamente 1 a aproximadamente 30 por ciento en peso de un homopolímero de butileno, o una combinación del homopolímero de butileno y el copolímero, en donde el HSBC (i) es un copolímero de bloque hidrogenado lineal o ramificado que tiene la configuración general A-B-A, (A-B)n, (A-B-A)n, (A-B-A)nX, (A-B)nX o mezclas de los mismos, en donde n es un entero de 2 a aproximadamente 30, y X es un residuo de agente de acoplamiento y en donde: a. antes de la hidrogenación, cada bloque A es un bloque de polímero de monoalquenil areno y cada bloque B es un bloque de copolímero de distribución controlada de al menos un dieno conjugado y al menos un monoalquenil areno; b. posteriormente a la hidrogenación, aproximadamente 0-10% de los enlaces dobles de areno han sido reducidos, y al menos aproximadamente 90% de los enlaces dobles del dieno conjugado han sido reducidos; c. cada bloque tiene un número de peso molecular promedio de aproximadamente 5.0 a aproximadamente 7.5 kg/mol y, en donde el HSBC lineal tiene un número de peso molecular promedio aparente total de aproximadamente 70 a aproximadamente 150 kg/mol y el HSBC ramificado tiene un número de peso molecular promedio aparente total de aproximadamente 35 a aproximadamente 75 kg/mol por brazo, d. cada bloque B comprende regiones terminales adyacentes a los bloques A que son ricas en unidades de dieno conjugado y una o más regiones no adyacentes a los bloques A que son ricas en unidades de monoalquenil areno; e. la cantidad total de monoalquenil areno en el copolímero de bloque hidrogenado es aproximadamente 20 a aproximadamente 45 por ciento en peso; f. el por ciento en peso de monoalquenil areno en cada bloque B es de aproximadamente 10 a aproximadamente 40 por ciento en peso; g. cada bloque B tiene un índice de agrupamiento en bloques de estireno menor que 10 por ciento; y h. el por ciento en peso de vinilo en cada bloque B es al menos aproximadamente 40 por ciento en peso.
