Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una toxina basada en polipéptido que se origina a partir de Clostridium perfringens. La invención también se refiere a composiciones inmunogénicas que comprenden la toxina y a métodos para vacunar animales, por ejemplo pollos, de modo tal que éstos sean menos susceptibles a enfermedades clostridiales. También se describen métodos para determinar si un animal ha estado expuesto o no a la toxina, polinucleótido que codifica para la toxina y bacteria atenuada que exprese una forma reducida o menos activa de la toxina.
