Abstract

The invention relates to a measuring device including identifiers for newborns and mothers, formed by a long planar, flexible strip including a plurality of measurement marks for measuring the size of a newborn. In addition, the flexible strip includes at least one newborn identification band which is removably connected to the long strip such that, once the newborn has been measured, the newborn identification band can be removed from the long strip and positioned around one of the newborn's extremities. Moreover, the device includes at least one mother identification band which is removably connected to the long strip such that it can be removed from the long strip and positioned around one of the mother's extremities.
