Abstract

La presente invencion se refiere a un metodo para mejorar caracteristicas de crecimiento de plantas modulando actividad de una cinasa de CDKA mutante o un homologo de la misma en una planta y/o expresion de modulacion de un acido nucleico que codifica dicha CDKA mutante. Uno de dichos metodos comprende introducir en una planta una molecula de acidos nucleicos de CDKA mutante o variante funcional de mutante de la misma. La invencion tambien provee una proteina mutante de CKA aislada y acidos nucleicos que codifican dicha proteina. La invencion se refiere ademas a plantas transgenicas que tienen caracteristicas de crecimiento mejoradas, dichas plantas tienen expresion modulada de un acido nucleico que codifica una cinasa de CDKA mutante. La presente invencion tambien se refiere a construcciones utiles en los metodos de la invencion.
