Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un elemento de empaque de columna que comprende una lámina corrugada y una pluralidad de estrías, dispuestas lateralmente en la lámina; caracterizado porque cada estría comprende una elevación con respecto a la lámina, la elevación dispuesta a un ángulo con respecto a la lámina de modo que, cuando el elemento de empaque está orientado verticalmente, el ángulo de elevación es 90 grados o menos, con respecto a la vertical, formando de esa manera un asiento a lo largo de la lámina suficiente para provocar que un líquido que fluye hacia abajo del elemento de empaque forme un depósito sobre el asiento.
