Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a estructura de deformación axial para un compresor helicoidal hermético, la cual tiene un elemento de espiral fija y un elemento de espiral orbitante en acoplamiento operativo con la espiral fija, un medio de cárter y medios anti-rotativos que coaccionan con dicha espiral orbitante y con dicho cárter para limitar a la espiral orbitante a un movimiento orbitante, dicha estructura de deformación axial, caracterizada porque dicho cárter tiene una superficie anular generalmente plana con una abertura central, con cavidades formadas en dicha superficie plana y ranuras rodeando a las cavidades, en que las ranuras tienen una periferia externa que tiene porciones en distancias variables desde la abertura central, de forma tal que la periferia externa no está a una distancia uniforme de los medios anti-rotativos, de manera que se maximizan las cavidades; elementos de sello colocados en las ranuras, dicho espiral orbitante se acopla moviblemente con los elementos de sello y coacciona con ellos para aislar a las cavidades; y medios para suministrar un fluido presurizado a dichas cavidades para proveer una fuerza axial a dicha espiral orbitante.
