Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un reactor de crisol múltiple para el tratamiento térmico de materiales carbonáceos orgánicos bajo presión, que consiste de un recipiente de presión que define una cámara que contiene una pluralidad de crisoles anulares sobrepuestas, incluyendo una serie de crisoles superiores inclinados angularmente hacia abajo hasta la periferia de la cámara, y una serie de crisoles inferiores separados por debajo, un elemento de entrada en la porción superior del recipiente, para introducir un material de alimentación carbonáceo húmedo bajo presión, hacia el crisol superior, un agitador colocado por encima de cada crisol para transferir el material de alimentación radialmente a lo largo de cada crisol, en una dirección alternativa hacia adentro y hacia afuera, a fin de efectuar un movimiento en cascada descendente del material de alimentación desde un crisol al siguiente crisol por debajo, una salida en la porción superior del recipiente para retirar los gases de reacción bajo presión desde la cámara, un deflector que queda por encima de los crisoles superiores y los agitadores para dirigir el flujo en contracorriente ascendente de los gases de reacción adyacentes el material de alimentación y en relación de transmisión de calor con los mismos, un desagüe colocado en comunicación con los crisoles superiores para retirar cualquier líquido bajo presión desde la cámara, unos calentadores en la cámara, colocados en la región de los crisoles inferiores para tratar el material de alimentación sobre los mismos hasta una temperatura elevada, durante un período de tiempo suficiente para vaporizar por lo menos una porción de las substancias volátiles a fin de formar los gases de reacción y un producto de reacción y una descarga en la porción inferior del recipiente y para retirar el producto de reacción bajo presión desde la cámara.
