Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a mejoras en método para colar directamente metal fundido en una tira continua de metal cristalino, que comprende hacer fluir el metal fundido desde una estructura generalmente en forma de "U" de un extremo de salida de un recipiente de colada o fundición, hacia una superficie de colada o fundición adyacente; mover la superficie de colada generalmente hacia arriba, más allá del extremo de salida del recipiente de colada, a una distancia predeterminada del mismo; caracterizadas por mantener un charco de metal fundido de superficie libre en el extremo de salida del recipiente de colada; y enfriar radiantemente el metal fundido en una zona definida por encima del metal fundido, a través de la anchura de la estructura en forma de "U" y adyacente a la superficie de colada.
