Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a una composición catalizadora que consiste esencialmente del producto obtenido por: 1) secar óxido inorgánico que tiene grupos hidroxilo superficiales para formar un soporte que está substancialmente exento de agua adsorbida; 2) hacer reaccionar los grupos hidroxilo superficiales del soporte con cuando menos aproximadamente 0.5 moles, por mol de grupos hidroxilo superficiales, de al menos un compuesto organometálico correspondiente a la fórmula R2Mr'y R"z, en donde M es un metal del Grupo III de la tabla periódica, R es grupo alquilo que contiene 1 a 12 átomos de carbono, RR' y R" se seleccionan independientemente a partir del grupo que consiste en H, CL, y grupos alquilo y alcoxi que contiene 1 a 12 átomos de carbono, x tiene un valor de 1 a 3, e y y z representan ambos valores de 0 a 2, la suma de los cuales no es mayor de 3-x; y 3) hacer reaccionar el soporte tratado de esta manera con cuando menos aproximadamente 0.001 proporción molar, por mol de compuestos organometálico, de un componente de vanadio que consiste esencialmente en una mezcla de alrededor de 10-90 por ciento molar de VOC13 y, en forma correspondiente, aproximadamente 90-10 por ciento molar de VC14. El procedimiento para preparar la composición catalizadora que consiste esencialmente en: 1) secar el óxido inorgánico para eliminar substancialmente toda el agua adsorbida; 2) formar en suspensión el óxido inorgánico seco en un hidrocarburo líquido inerte; 3) añadir cuando menos una cantidad substancialmente estequiométrica del compuesto organo metálico para hacerlo reaccionar con los grupos hidroxilo superficiales del óxido inorgánico; 4) agregar el componente de vanadio para hacerlo reaccionar con el óxido inorgánico tratado; y 5) secar la composición formada de esta manera.
