Description
The invention relates to medicine, in particular to ophthalmological prostheses.
An ophthalmic prosthesis is known, which consists of a base, to which is attached an irregular convex plate, on which circles are applied, imitating the iris and pupil. It is designed for the substitution of ocular defects after enucleation [1].
The disadvantages are that the known prosthesis used to take corneas from cadaveric donors, when applied to the remaining tissues, bulges and changes the configuration of the eye.
The problem solved by the present invention consists in creating a device that allows for compliance when applied to the surface of the remaining tissues after corneal removal, tighter adhesion, preservation of the eye configuration, and depending on the color of the iris - choosing the right color.
The problem is solved by the fact that the ophthalmic prosthesis contains an oval convex base, which imitates the cornea, the edges of which are made rounded, in the central part of the base is applied a colored circle with a diameter of up to 15 mm, which imitates the iris, in the center of which is applied another black circle with a diameter of up to 3 mm, which imitates the pupil, at the same time the base is made of plastic material, for example, silicone.
The convex oval shape of the base adheres well to the remaining surfaces of the eyeball, giving a natural configuration. When using the ophthalmic prosthesis, eyelid fixation glue can be applied. The claimed invention can be used in patients to cover eye defects or scars, being made of silicone, which does not irritate the posterior surface of the eyelids. Due to the rounded edges of the base, very smooth fixation on the surface of the eye is achieved.
The result consists of operative, safe, qualitative, easy and atraumatic fixation, in the aesthetic restoration of ocular defects after sampling or prosthetics.
Invenţia se explică prin desenele din fig. 1 - 3, care reprezintă: The invention is explained by the drawings in Fig. 1 - 3, which represent:

- fig. 3, proteză oftalmologică, vedere posterioară. - Fig. 3, ophthalmological prosthesis, posterior view.
The ophthalmic prosthesis contains an oval convex base 1, in the central part of which a colored circle 2 with a diameter of up to 15 mm is applied, in the center of which another black circle 3 with a diameter of up to 3 mm is applied. The base 1 is made of plastic, for example, silicone.
Dispozitivul se utilizează în modul următor. The device is used in the following way.
First, the device is sterilized with sterilizing substances. The operating field for corneal sampling is prepared, the eyelids and the ocular surface are processed with betadine solution, then washed with physiological serum. The eyelids are dilated with the blepharostat, a circular section is made with ophthalmic scissors, 2 mm from the edge of the limbus, the disc-corneal complex is detached, the sampled cornea is introduced into the transport medium, and the remaining defect is restored with the ophthalmic prosthesis, which is applied to the surface of the remaining tissues of the eyeball. Then the blepharostat is dismantled and, if necessary, biological glue is applied to fix the eyelids.
The ophthalmic prosthesis can be used in patients with scars on the sclera, cornea, with loss of vision, which requires multiple restoration interventions.
