Abstract
The invention relates to chemistry and medicine, namely to the synthesis of a new compound, which can find application in medicine as an antituberculous drug.Summary of the invention consists in the synthesis of 2-(propylthio)-5H-[1,3,4]thiadiazole[2,3-b]quinazoline-5-one compound of Formula:,exhibiting antituberculous activity.The method for synthesis of the claimed compound consists in that to the solution containing 2-mercapto-5H-[1,3,4]thiadiazole[2,3-b]quinazoline-5-one and triethylamine in acetone upon boiling and stirring is added propyl iodide. The reaction mixture is stirred for 24 hours under reflux, after which the solvent is removed on a rotary evaporator and the resulting precipitate is washed with water, acetone and dried in the air.
