Abstract

The invention relates to the transportation engineering industry, especially to the crawler tractors. Summary of the invention consists in the fact that in the crawler tractor, containing drive wheels, fixed on the machine skeleton and side members with guiding wheels placed on them, track chains, embracing the drive and guiding wheels and bearing rollers, the side members are made in the form of tubular housings, each bearing roller is installed on the side member by means of the clamp-yokes with the possibility of stepless displacement along the side member and of rigid fixation on it in the chosen positions. The modification of the crawler tractor tractive characteristics with that is effected by displacement of bearing rollers relative to the tractor center of gravity along its longitudinal axis, with the front application of load - in the forward movement of the tractor and with the application of load from behind - backwards. The technical result of the invention consists in the possibility of modifying the tractive characteristics of the crawler tractor, as well as in increasing the propulsion efficiency thereof.
