Abstract
Invenţia se referă la motoarele cu ardere internă şi este destinată sporirii eficienţei lucrului acestuia.Motorul cu ardere internă, care conţine primul şi al doilea cilindri (12, 14), totodată primul cilindru (12) are un volum util mai mare comparativ cu cilindrul al doilea (14), iar al doilea cilindru este format în capul sau bolta primului cilindru. În primul şi al doilea cilindri (12, 14) se deplasează rectiliniu-alternativ, respectiv, primul şi al doilea pistoane (16, 18), totodată pistonul al doilea (18) este executat în formă de proeminenţă pe capul primului piston (16). Primul cilindru are un orificiu de admisiune a aerului (25) şi un orificiu de evacuare (27), mai mult decât atât, de la prima sursă de alimentare cu combustibil (34) combustibilul se avansează în al doilea cilindru (14). Pistonul al doilea conţine un cap (35) care este deplasat şi conectat cu capul (36) primului piston şi are o muchie de brâu (37) cu o grosime relativ mică în direcţie axială în comparaţie cu valoarea deplasării capului primului piston de la capul pistonului al doilea. În rezultatul acestui fapt între capurile pistoanelor şi peretele lateral (14a) al cilindrului al doilea (14), atunci când pistoanele se află în poziţia punctului mort, se formează camera de ardere (20). Această cameră (20) comunică cu ambii cilindri (12, 14) pe parcursul unei porţiuni a timpului sau cursei de detentă.Particularităţile constructive ale motorului sunt astfel încăt combinarea principiilor de funcţionare a motorului Diesel şi motorului Merritt permite motorului Diesel să funcţioneze cu viteză mai mare de alimentare cu combustibil şi cu consum intens al combustibilului şi intensitate fumigenă extrem de redusă.Mai mult decât atât, astfel de motoare pot funcţiona la niveluri reduse de comprimare şi viteze mai mari.
