Abstract
Description
Claims (18)
- 빛을 생성하는 광원, 상기 빛을 변조하여 화소로 구성되는 이미지를 형성하는 공간 광 변조기(spatial light modulator), 디스플레이 이미지 평면(display image plane), 상기 이미지 평면 상에 상기 이미지의 초점을 맞추기 위한 광 시스템(optical system), 상기 이미지 평면 상에 투영된 한 개 이상의 상기 화소의 초점을 감지하고 그것을 나타내는 센서 출력을 제공하는 센서, 상기 광 시스템의 파라미터를 상기 센서 출력의 함수로서 변경하기 위한 조정 수단을 포함하는 이미지 디스플레이 시스템(image display system).
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 광 시스템은 투영 렌즈(projector lens)를 포함하고, 상기 조정되는 파라미터는 상기 투영 렌즈의 초점 거리인 이미지 디스플레이 시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 센서는 상기 센서 출력을 상기 이미지 평면 상에 투영된 상기 복수의 화소에 대해 감지된 선명도(sharpness)의 함수로서 제공하는 이미지 디스플레이 시스템.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 감지된 화소들은 화소와 화소 사이에 빛의 강도에 높은 콘트라스트(contrast)를 가지는 이미지 디스플레이 시스템.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 감지된 화소들은 규칙적인 기하학적 패턴을 포함하는 이미지 디스플레이 시스템.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 감지된 화소들은 체커 판 패턴(checker board pattern)을 포함하는 이미지 디스플레이 시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 센서는 CCD 카메라를 포함하는 이미지 디스플레이 시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 조정 수단은 서보 메카니즘(servo mechanism)을 포함하는 이미지 디스플레이 시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 공간 광 변조기는 DMD를 포함하는 이미지 디스플레이 시스템.
- 빛을 생성하는 광원, 상기 빛을 변조하는 공간 광 변조기(SLM), 디스플레이 이미지 평면 상에 상기 변조된 빛의 초점을 맞추는 광 시스템을 포함하는 디스플레이 시스템의 초점을 맞추는 방법에 있어서, a) 상기 SLM에 빛을 가하여 디스플레이 이미지 평면 상에 화소로 구성되는 이미지를 정의하는 단계, b) 상기 디스플레이 이미지 평면의 이미지의 한 개 이상의 화소의 선명도를 감지하는 단계, c) 상기 광 시스템의 광 파라미터를 상기 감지된 화소 선명도의 함수로서 조정하는 조정 단계를 포함하는 방법.
- 제10항에 있어서, 상기 광 시스템은 투영 렌즈를 포함하고, 상기 조정 단계는 상기 투영 렌즈의 초점거리를 조정하는 단계를 포함하는 방법.
- 제10항에 있어서, 복수의 화소의 선명도를 감지하는 단계를 포함하는 방법.
- 제10항에 있어서, 균일한 기하학적 형태로 각각 되어 있는 미세 가공에 의한 화소 요소(Pixel-elements)를 가지는 SLM을 사용하는 단계를 포함하여, 상기 화소들이 대응하는 상기 기하학적 형태를 갖게되는 방법.
- 제10항에 있어서, 상기 선명도를 감지하는 단계는 온 화소와 오프 화소 사이의 전환(transition)을 감지함으로써 수행되는 방법.
- 제10항에 있어서, 상기 SLM은 화소 요소들 사이에 갭(gaps)이 있는 편향가능한(deflectable) 화소 요소를 가지는 미세 가공에 의한 장치이어서, 상기 선명도를 감지하는 단계가 상기 화소 요소들 사이의 갭에 대응하는 이미지의 부분을 감지함으로써 수행되는 방법.
- 제11항에 있어서, 상기 선명도를 감지하는 단계는 화소를 투영 렌즈를 통해서 감지함으로써 수행되는 방법.
- 제11항에 있어서, 상기 선명도를 감지하는 단계는 화소를 투영 렌즈의 인접한 곳으로부터 감지함으로써 수행되는 방법.
- 제10항에 있어서, 상기 SLM은 DMD인 방법.※ 참고사항 : 최초출원 내용에 의하여 공개하는 것임.
