Description
Claims (18)
- 전압이 인가될 수 있는 한쌍의 투명 기판, 그리고 상기 두 기판의 사이에 있는 강유전성 네마틱 액정 물질로 된 액정층을 포함하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항에서, 상기 액정층의 액정 물질은 액정 방향자와 평행한 자발 분극을 가지고 있는 강유전성 네마틱 물질인 액정 표시 장치.
- 제2항에서, 상기 액정층의 물질은 양의 유전율 이방성을 가지고 있는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에서, 상기 두 기판은 수평 배향 처리되어 있는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제4항에서, 상기 두 기판의 수평 배향 방향은 0 내지 360°어긋나 있어 그 각도만큼 액정 방향자가 회전해 있는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에서, 상기 액정층의 피치 조절을 위하여 상기 액정층에 카이랄 첨가제가 포함되어 있는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제6항에서, 상기 액정 물질의 액정 방향자는 상기 액정층 전체를 통하여 0 내지 360°회전해 있는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제5항 또는 제7항에 있어서, 상기 두 기판 사이의 간격을 상기 액정층의 피치로 나눈 값이 0.0에서 1.0사이인 액정 표시 장치.
- 제8항에서, 상기 두 기판 사이의 간격과 상기 액정층의 피치의 비가 1 : 4인 액정 표시 장치.
- 제9항에서, 상기 액정층의 액정 물질의 광학적 이방성과 상기 기판 사이의 간격의 곱이 0.1에서 2.0㎛인 액정 표시 장치.
- 제5항, 제7항 또는 제9항에 있어서, 상기 두 기판에 각각 부착되어 있는 편광자를 더 포함하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제11항에서, 상기 두 편광자의 편광축은 상기 액정층의 액정 분자의 회전 각도만큼 어긋나 있는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제11항에서, 상기 두 편광자의 평광축은 상기 액정층의 액정 분자의 회전 각도에 ±90°더한 각도만큼 어긋나 있는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제11항에서, 상기 두 편광자의 편광축은 서로 평행한 액정 표시 장치.
- 제11항에서, 상기 두 편광자의 편광축은 서로 직교하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항 내지 제3항, 제5항 및 제7항 중 어느 한 항에서, 상기 두 기판 중 한 기판 또는 두 기판 모두에 위상차판이 부착되어 있는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항 내지 제3항, 제5항 및 제7항 중 어느 한 항에서, 상기 두 기판 중 한 기판에 빛을 발하는 발광 수단이 부착되어 있는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항 내지 제3항, 제5항 및 제7항 중 어느 한 항에서, 상기 두 기판 중 한 기판에 반사판이 부착되어 있는 액정 표시 장치.※ 참고사항 : 최초출원 내용에 의하여 공개하는 것임.
