발명의 상세한 설명

반면, 디티오비스산은 10ppm-200ppm의 농도에서 사용될 때 거의 일정한 성장 촉진 능력을 보여 준다.
본 발명의 황-함유산의 존재하에 있는 성장 식물로 인한 부가적인 잇점은 식물이 클로로필을 더많이 축적한다는 것이다.성장 배양기내에서의 이러한 산의 존재는, 특히 중량/부피를 기준으로 약 10ppm-약 200ppm의 농도에서, 식물 중량의 밀리그램당 축적된 클로로필의 양을 크게 증가시킨다.

첨가된 물질의 양은 원하는 반응을 얻기 위해 필요한 유효 양이다. 일반적으로, 산은 중량/부피를 기준으로 약 50 약 500ppm의 농도의 산을 함유하는 희석 수성 용액에서 이용된다. 대부분의 적용에서, 바람직한 농도는 약 10ppm-약 100ppm이다. 특별한 적용에 대해 가장 적합한 농도는 잘 공지된 스크리닝 시험, 예컨대 실시예에서 주어진 시험에 의해 쉽게 결정된다.

실시예에서 사용된 티오락트산은 미합중국 위스콘신주 밀라우키시 알드리히 화학 회사로부터 구입되었다. 그것을 105°-110℃에서 72시간동안, 감압하에서 1부의 강산 양이온-교환 수지와 10.6부의 산을 가열시킴으로써 폴리티오락트산으로 전환시켰다. 수지를 여과에 의해 제거시키고 반응하지 않은 티오락트산을 고진공하에서 증류에 의해 제거시킨다. 폴리티오글리콜산은 폴리티오락트산을 제조하기 위해 사용된 것과 같은 방법을 사용하여 티오글리콜산으로부터 제조된다. 티오락트산은 티오글리콜산의 공중합체는 강 산이온-교환수지의 존재하에서 출발 산의 등몰양을 가열시킴으로써 유사한 방법으로 제조된다. 이들 중합체에서 결합의 존재는 C13NMR 분석에 의해 보여진다.
2,2'-디티오비스프로판산은 5℃에서 15ml의 아세톤내 10.6g의 티오락트산의 용액에 2.5ml의 30% 과산화수소를 천천히 첨가시킴으로써 얻어진다. 혼합물은 5℃에서 24시간동안 놓아두고 난뒤 실온에서 48시간 동안 남겨둔다. 용매는 감압하에서 제거시키고 잔류물은 클로로포름내에 녹인다. 클로로포름 용액은 물로 씻어주고 용매를 감압하에서 제거시키기 전에 건조시켜서 실험에서 사용되는 잔류 시럽을 얻는다.
2,2'-디티오비스아세트산은 티오글리콜산의 과산화수소 산화에 의해 유사한 방법으로 제조된다.
미첼 및 리빙스턴의 식물 호르몬 및 성장 조절 기질 여구의 방법, USDA-ARS 농업 핸드북, 336, 66-67페이지(1968)에서와 같이 좀개구리밥(렘나 미노르 엘.)을 하기의 일반적인 과정으로 성장시킨다. 식물을, 철(II)이온이 EDTA로 킬레이트될때 존재하는 철과 함께, 핸드북에서 기술된 것처럼 니켈(Nickell) 배양기상에서 성장시킨다. 3엽 단계(three-frond stage)에 있는 식물을 각각의 플라스크에 놓아둔다. 매일 16시간동안 300-500피트 촉광하에서 플라스크를 16-18일 동안 25℃에서 항온처리한다. 식물은 수확하고 식물의 중량을 측정하기전에 건조시킨다. 전체 보고된 값은 3-5반복시험 값을 나타낸다.
다양한 농도의 황-함유산이 좀개구리밥 성장 배양기에 첨가되는 실험이 이행되었다. 대조물은 산이 첨가되지 않은 것으로 이행된다. 표 1에서 주어진 결과는 비교적 작은 농도의 산이 배양기내에서 존재할 때, 성장은 굉장히 향상된다는 것을 증명해준다.

실시예 1의 일반적인 과정을 따르고, 수확된 식물의 클로로필 함량은 키르크의 플란타, 78, 200-207(1968)(Kirk, Planta, 78, 200-207(1968)의 방법에 의해 결정된다. 미리 달아본 건조 좀개구리밥의 무게의 샘플을 80℃ 아세톤에서 현탁시킨다. 혼합물을 폴리트론(POLYTRON) 브랜드 균질기(미합중국 뉴욕주 웨스트부리시 브린크만 인스트르먼트)를 사용하여 39초간 균질화시킨다. 혼합물을 원심분리시키고 상청액의 흡수를 633 및 645nm에서 읽어준다. 이들 해석으로부터, 건조 중량의 밀리그램당 클로로필의 미크로그램의 수를 키르크의 노모그램을 사용하여 결정한다. 표 II에서 주어진 결과는 본 발명의 방법에서 사용된 황-함유 유기산은 식물의 클로로필 함량을 증가시킴을 보여준다. 이것은 산이 100ppm의 농도 이상에서 성장 배양기내에 존재할 때 특히 명백하다.
