Abstract
본 발명은 액정표시소자에 관련된 것으로, 특히 2색성 염료를 포함하는 카이럴네마틱액정을 이용한 컬러액정표시소자에 관한 것으로서, 컬러액정표시소자는 복수의 제1전극을 구비한 제1기판과, 상기 제1기판에 대향하여 배치되어 상기 제1기판에 대향하는 면에 상기 제1전극에 대향하는 적어도 1개의 제2전극을 구비한 제2기판과, 상기 제1기판과 제2기판간에 봉입되어 2색성 염료와 카이럴물질이 배합되어 액정재료로 구성되고, 상기 제1전극과 제2전극이 대향하는 부분에 의하여 정의되는 각 화소영역에 대응시켜서 복수의 형광체층이 배치되고, 이 형광체층의 빛이 입사하는 면과는 반대측에 이들 형광체층에 대응시켜서 상기 각 형광체층을 투과한 빛을 반사시키기 위한 백색기초층이 배치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 한다.The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display device, and more particularly to a color liquid crystal display device using a chiral nematic liquid crystal including a dichroic dye.
