Abstract
본 발명은 코드분할 다중억세스 방식의 셀룰라 시스템에서 주파수가 각각 다른 기지국간을 이동하는 이동국에서의 핸드오프 시점결정 방법에 관한 것으로, 임의의 이동국과 통신중인 기지국에서 해당 이동국으로부터 수신되는 신호의 세기를 미리 설정되어 있는 임계치와 지속적으로 비교하는 제1과정과, 상기 과정에서 수신신호의 세기가 임계치 이하로 떨어지는 경우 해당 이동국에 수신되는 신호의 세기를 측정하도록 제어신호를 송출하는 제2과정과, 상기 과정에서 송출되어진 제어신호를 입력받은 이동국은 미리 설정되어 있는 임계치와 상기 제어신호의 수신 세기를 비교하는 제3과정 및 상기 과정에서 제어신호의 수신 세기가 임계치 이하로 떨어지는 경우 해당 기지국에 핸드오프 시점임을 통보하는 제4과정을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 CDMA 방식의 셀룰라폰 시스템에서 CDMA-TO-CDMA 이종주파수 핸드오프 시점결정 방법을 제공하여 비싼 부수장비가 필요없이도 기지국의 서비스영역을 유지할 수 있는 효과가 있다.The present invention relates to a method for determining a handoff timing in a mobile station that moves between base stations having different frequencies in a code division multiple access cellular system.
