Claims (6)
- 엔진, 콤프레서 또는 펌프로서, 최소한 하나의 실린더, 크랭크핀을 가진 회전할 수 있는 크랭크 샤프트, 실린더내를 상하운동하는 스커트가 없는 피스톤 및 진자피스톤에 고정된 커넥팅로드로 이루어져 있으며, 크랭크핀 위에 회전할 수 있도록 고정된 커넥팅핀 베어링을 포함하고, 거기에 카운터웨이트는 커넥팅로드의 연장부분에 적당한 크기로 배치되어 있으며 그 작동에 있어서 진자피스톤은 최소한의 측면력을 가지고 적당한 허리를 가진 실린더내에서 운동하는 것을 특징으로 하는 진자피스톤 기관.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 크랭크 케이스의 하부는 크랭크 샤프트 펌프의 효율을 증가시키기 위하여 삽 모양의 챠저(spade charger)와 같이 작동하는 카운터웨이트로 빈틈없이 둘러싸는 것을 특징으로 하는 진자피스톤 기관.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 컵 모양의 커넥팅로드가 진자피스톤과 동일한 폭의 구형(矩形)단면을 가지며, 크랭크 케이스에 의하여 엔진의 용역측정 챠저 또는 콤프레셔 또는 펌프의 첫 단계를 이루도록 빈틈없이 둘러싸여져 있는 구형 피스톤과 실린더로 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 진자피스톤 기관.
- 제 3 항에 있어서, 2-행정 미끄럼밸브 내연기관으로서, 커넥팅로드의 양 평측면을 평활면을 위하여 오목하게 되어 있고 상하 동심원환부(concentric peripheries)는 중심에 위치되게 하되, 피스톤의 중심선의 둘레를 피봇되게 하며, 활판의 낮은 모서리는 진자로부터의 미끄럼을 방지하기 위하여 실린더의 평면벽의 홈에서 미끄러지는 활주부를 움직일 수 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 진자피스톤 기관.
- 제 4 항에 있어서, 측방향이송구(lateral transfer ports)는 실린더로 주입되는 가스에 있어서 배기와류(scavenging swirl)를 발생하도록 서로에 대해 비대칭적으로 배치되어 있고, 최소 펌핑손실로 엔진의 출력을 줄이기 위하여 도관을 조절하는 스로틀밸브를 통하여 크랭크 케이스 입구로 실린더를 선택적으로 바이패싱(by-passing)하는 것을 특징으로 하는 진자피스톤 기관.
- 제 4 항에 있어서, 실린더헤드는 귀금속으로 코팅된 긴 원통형 연소실을 가지고, 한 끝에 가열 또는 점화플러그와 실린더의 슬롯 또는 구멍을 통하여 전달매체를 가지며 촉매연소가 가능하도록 커넥팅로드의 진동 평면에 배열되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 진자피스톤 기관.
