Abstract

전압 무인가시에 스프레이 왜곡을 갖는 트위스티드 네마틱 액정 장치의 응답 속도를 개선하고, 균일한 표시를 얻는 것을 목적으로 한다.
화소 전극(1)과 신호선(3) 사이에 주사선(2)를 삽입함으로써 횡전계의 안정화를 도모하고, 응답 시간의 균일화를 달성한다. 또, 액정이 끼워진 상하 기판면에서의 프리 틸트각을 1°이하로 하여 전압 인가시의 균일한 배향분할을 실현할 수 있다. 또한, 표시시의 인가 전압을 임계값 전압 이상으로 하여 응답 시간을 개선시킬 수 있다.

Claims (9)

  1. 공통 전극을 갖는 기판과, 화소 전극을 갖는 기판 사이에 끼워지고, 전압 무인가시에 스프레이 왜곡을 갖는 트위스티드 네마틱 액정으로 이루어진 액정 표시 장치에 있어서, 화소 전극과 신호선 사이에 주사선이 삽입되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
  2. 공통 전극을 갖는 기판과, 화소 전극을 갖는 기판 사이에 끼워지고, 전압 무인가시에 스프레이 왜곡을 갖는 트위스티드 네마틱 액정으로 이루어진 액정 표시 장치에 있어서, 상하 기판면에서의 프리 틸트각이 1°이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
  3. 공통 전극을 갖는 기판과, 화소 전극을 갖는 기판 사이에 끼워지고, 전압 무인가시에 스프레이 왜곡을 갖는 트위스티드 네마틱 액정으로 이루어진 액정 표시 장치에 있어서, 표시시에 임계값 전압 이상의 전압을 인가하는 수단을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 공통 전극에 개구부를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
  5. 제4항에 있어서, 공통 전극의 개구부에 정합된 차광층을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
  6. 제2항에 있어서, 공통 전극에 개구부를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
  7. 제6항에 있어서, 공통 전극의 개구부에 정합된 차광층을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
  8. 제3항에 있어서, 공통 전극에 개구부를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
  9. 제8항에 있어서, 공통 전극의 개구부에 정합된 차광층을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
