본 발명에 의한 디지탈 변조방법 및 장치에서는 디지탈신호를 비직선 특성을 가진 증폭기를 사용하는 직선 변조방식으로 전송함에 있어서, 입력되는 다수 비트로 구성된 NRZ 데이타열을 받아 이에 해당하는 신호공간상에 한 점으로 변환하되 사용하는 증폭기의 증폭도에 따라 표준 공간좌표에서 미리 저장시켜 놓은 만큼 공간좌표를 변형하고, 이 신호를 반송파에 변조한 후 증폭하여 전송함으로써 직선 변조방식 신호의 대역폭 특성 및 수신시 오류확률 성능을 개선할 수 있다.In the digital modulation method and apparatus according to the present invention, when a digital signal is transmitted by a linear modulation method using an amplifier having a nonlinear characteristic, an NRZ data string consisting of a plurality of input bits is received, and a point in a corresponding signal space is received.
