토오크가 크고 구조가 간단한 차량용 무단 변속장치를 제공하기 위하여, 엔진의 구동력이 입력 주축과 입력 부축으로 분할되고, 상기한 입력 주축으로 전달된 동력은 유성기어장치의 링기어로 전달됨과 아울러 입력 부축으로 전달된 동력은 토오크 컨버터의 토오크 변환을 통하여 유성기어장치의 선기어로 전달되어 유성기어장치의 유성 캐리어를 통하여 변속비가 출력될 수 있도록 구성한 것을 특징으로 하는 차량용 무단변속장치.In order to provide a continuously variable transmission for a vehicle having a large torque and a simple structure, the driving force of the engine is divided into an input main shaft and an input subshaft, and the power transmitted to the input main shaft is transmitted to the ring gear of the planetary gear system and also to the input subshaft.
