주행조건에 따라 캐스터 각을 가변시켜 저속시에는 조향효과를 높여주고, 중,고속시에는 직진 안정성을 높혀주며, 선회시에는 이상적인 캠버 변화로 선회성능을 향상시켜 줄 수 있는 자동차의 조향륜 현가장치를 제공할 목적으로; 휠을 회전 가능하게 지지하여 주는 휠 지지체의 상하부를 차체에 연결하여 주는 어퍼 및 로워 컨트롤 아암과; 스프링을 포함하여 이루어져 상기 어퍼 및 로워 컨트롤 아암의 사이로 배치되어 완충기능을 수행하는 쇽 업소오버 조립체와; 상기 어퍼 컨트롤 아암의 차체측단 연결부와 차체 사이에 배치되어 유압에 의하여 어퍼 컨트롤 아암의 휠측단을 전후로 이동시켜 캐스터를 조절하는 캐스터 조절수단을 포함하여 이루어지는 자동차의 조향륜 현가장치를 제공한다.Steering wheel suspension is variable according to driving conditions to enhance steering effect at low speed, straight stability at medium and high speed, and turning wheel suspension of automobile which can improve turning performance with ideal camber change when turning.
