Claims (11)
- 원영상을 소정 블럭단위로 변환부호화하고, 양자화한 뒤 엔트로피 부호화하여 부호화 비트수를 저장 또는 전송하는 정지영상압축방식에 있어서; 상기 소정 블럭단위별의 시각적 특성에 따라 변화도를 검출하기 위한 변화도검출과정과; 상기 변화도검출과정에 의한 변화도에 의하여 상기 블럭이 해당되는 클래스로분류하는 클래스분류과정과; 상기 클래스분류과정에 의해 분류된 클래스에 해당되는 양자화압축정수를 상기 변화도의 평균변화도에 의해 설정하고, 양자화테이블(70)의 소정값과 상기 양자화압축정수(SF)에 의하여 양자화스텝사이즈를 결정하여 상기 양자화를 제어하기 위한 양자화제어과정과; 상기 양자화제어과정에 의하여 양자화된 양자화계수의 비트수가 상기 변화도검출과정에서 검출된 변화도에 의한 각 블럭당 할당 비트수에 적절한지를 판단하고 적절한 때까지 반복적으로 블럭비트수를 조절하여 상게 엔트로피 부호화를 이루도록 하기 위한 비트수조절과정을 포함함을 특징으로 하는 고정비트율 설정에 의한 영상압축방식.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 비트수조절과정은 상기 할당 비트수를 기준으로 하여 상기 양자화된 계수가 할당 비트수보다 적거나 같으면 상기 엔트로피 부호화로 양자화된 계수를 인가하는 제 1 단계와, 상기 제 1 단계에서 양자화된 계수가 할당 비트수보다 크면 해당 블럭의 평균자승오차를 계산하는 제 2 단계와, 상기 제 2 단계에서 계산된 평균자승오차가 해당 블럭에 허용된 평균자승오차보다 크면 상기 엔트로피 부호화로 양자화된 계수를 인가하는 제 3 단계와, 상기 제 2 단계에서 계산된 평균자승오차가 해당 블럭에 허용된 평균자승오차보다 작으면 양자화된 계수중 가장 끝의 계수를 제거하는 제 4 단계를 포함함을 특징으로 하는 고정비트율 설정에 의한 영상압축방식.
- 제 2 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 단계의 할당 비트수는 상기 변화도검출과정에서 검출된 변화도의 총합계와 할당 비트수를 구하기 위한 소정 블럭의 변화도의 상대적 비율에 의하여 검출됨을 특징으로 하는 고정비트율 설정에 의한 영상압축방식.
- 제 3 항에 있어서, 상기 계수제거는 계수배열중 가장 끝에 있는 0이 아닌 계수를 0으로 함을 특징으로 하는 고정비트율 설정에 의한 영상압축방식.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 양자화제어과정의 상기 평균변화도는 상기 변화도검출과정에서 검출된 변화도의 총합계를 상기 소정 블럭의 총갯수로 계산하여 구함을 특징으로 하는 고정비트율 설정에 의한 영상압축방식.
- 제 5 항에 있어서, 상기 양자화는 상기 변화부호화를 거친 계수마다 가변적으로 이루어짐을 특징으로 하는 고정비트율 설정에 의한 영상압축방식.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 변화도검출과정은 상기 소정 블럭단위별의 대표방향성분을 검출하는 단계를 더 포함함을 특징으로 하는 고정비트율 설정에 의한 영상압축방식.
- 제 7 항에 있어서, 상기 대표방향성분은 상기 변화도가 가장 작은 방향성분임을 특징으로 하는 고정비트율 설정에 의한 영상압축방식.
- 제 7 항에 있어서, 상기 클래스분류과정은 상기 대표방향성분과 변화도값 블럭의 분산값에 의하여 클래스를 분류함을 특징으로 하는 고정비트율 설정에 의한 영상압축방식.
- 원영상을 소정 블럭단위로 변환부호화하고, 양자화한 뒤 엔트로피 부호화하여 부호화비트수를 저장 또는 전송하는 정지영상압축방식에 있어서; 상기 소정 블럭단위별의 시각적 특성에 따라 변화도를 검출하고, 검출된 변화도에 의하여 상기 소정 블럭이 해당되는 클래스를 분류하기 위한 영상의 변화도검출 및 클래스분류수단(50)과; 상기 영상의 변화도검출 및 클래스분류수단(50)에서 출력된 평균변화도에 의하여 양자화압축정수를 설정하고, 양자화테이블(70)에서 읽혀진 소정값과 상기 양자화압축정수를 승산하여 상기 양자화를 제어하기 위한 양자화제어수단과; 상기 양자화제어수단에서 출력된 양자화계수를 상기 변화도검출 및 클래스분류수단에서 출력되는 할당 비트수를 기준으로 적절한지 여부를 판단하고, 적절할 때까지 반복적으로 블럭 비트수를 조절하여 상기 엔트로피 부호화를 이루도록 출력하기 위한 비트수조절부(80)를 포함함을 특징으로 하는 고정비트율 설정에 의한 영상압축방식.
- 제 10 항에 있어서, 상기 비트수조절부(80)는 상기 양자화 비트수를 계산하고 상기 할당된 비트수와 상기 계산된 양자화 비트수를 비교하여 현재 블럭의 비트수가 적절한지를 판단하기 위한 블럭의 비트수판단수단(81)과, 상기 블럭의 비트수판단수단(81)에서 판단된 결과 양자화 할당 비트수보다 크면 평균자승오차를 계산하기위한 평균자승오차계산수단(82), 상기 평균자승오차계산수단(82)에서 계산된 평균자승오차가 상기 블럭에 해당되는 평균자승오차보다 적을 경우, 상기 양자화계수중 마지막 계수를 제거하기 위한 계수제거수단(83)을 구비함을 특징으로 하는 고정비트율 설정을 위한 영상압축방식.
