Abstract
본 발명은 배기가스 발생장치에서 나온 배기가스를 무해한 산물로 전환시키는 방법 및 그 시스템에 관한 것이다. 여기서 상기 배기가스는 NOx, CO 및 탄화수소 전환촉매를 포함하는 촉매 시스템에 접촉된다.
본발명의 방법은 제올라이트를 상기 주촉매의 상류측에 배치하고 상기 발생장치에 충분히 근접 배치시켜 상기 제올라이트의 온도를 상기 발생장치의 시동후 약 100초 이하의 시간내에 적어도 약 100℃의 온도에 도달시키는 단계 및 상기 배기가스를 상기 제올라이트에 접촉시켜 상기 시간동안 탄화수소를 흡착시키는 단계로 이루어진다. 상기 제올라이트는 약 250 대 1이하의 Si0₂대 Al₂O₃의 몰비 및 약 3.8 내지 약 6.0 A직경의 기공부를 가진다.

Claims (24)
- NOx, CO 및 탄화수소를 무해한 산물로 전환시킬 수 있는 주촉매가 포함되어 있는 촉매 시스템에 배기가스 발생장치에서 나온 배기 가스를 접촉시켜 상기 배기가스를 무해한 산물로 전환시키는 방법에 있어서, a)제올라이트를 상기 주촉매의 상류측에 배치시키고 상기 발생장치에 충분히 근접 배치시켜 상기 제올라이트의 온도를 상기 발생장치의 시동후 약100초 이하의 시간내에 적어도 약 100℃의 온도에 도달시키는 단계와, b)상기 배기가스를 상기 제올라이트에 접촉시켜 상기 시간동안 탄화수소를 흡착시키는 단계로 이루어지며, 상기 제올라이트가 약 250 대 1이항의 SiO₂대 Al₂O₃의 몰비 및 약 3.8 내지 약 6.0A 직경의 기공부를 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 배기가스 전환방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 탄화수소가 저분자량 탄화수소인 것을 특징으로 하는 배기가스 전환방법.
