Claims (10)
- 박막 디스플레이 패널용 인터페이스에 있어서, 동기 신호에 따라서 유효 칼라 디스플레이 데이타를 메모리 수단으로 이입하기 위하여 타이밍을 취하기 위한 타이밍 수단과, 상기 유효 칼라 디스플레이 데이타를 저장하기 위한 메모리 수단과, 상기 저장된 칼라 디스플레이 데이타를 이용하여 소정의 혼합된 칼라 데이타를 생성하기 위한 칼라 데이타 취급 수단 및, 박막 칼라 디스플레이 패널의 구동기를 작동하기에 필요한 타이밍 신호를 발생하기 위한 타이밍 신호 발생 수단을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 박막 디스플레이 패널용 인터페이스.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 타이밍 수단은, 수평 유효 칼라 디스플레이 데이타를 메모리 수단에 이입시키기 위해 타이밍을 제어하기 위한 X-축 디스플레이 영역 제어 회로, 수직 유효 칼라 디스플레이 데이타를 메모리 수단에 이입시키기 위해 타이밍을 제어하기 위한 Y-축 디스플레이 영역 제어 회로 및, 수평 및 수직 칼라 디스플레이 데이타가 둘다 유효할때 펄스를 발생하기 위한 펄스 발생기를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 박막 디스플레이 패널용 인터페이스.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 칼라 데이타 취급 수단은, 혼합 칼라 데이타로 변환시키는 시간 분할 방법으로 상기 메모리중의 판독된 칼라 디스플레이 데이타를 임시로 저장하기 위한 래칭 수단 및 저장된 칼라 디스플레이 데이타를 스위칭하기 위한 스위칭 수단을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 박막 디스플레이 패널용 인터페이스.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 메모리 수단은 적, 청 및 녹 직렬 데이타를 대응하는 병렬 데이타로 변환하기 위한 S/P 변환 회로를 구비하며, 병렬 디스플레이 데이타를 저장하기 위한 메모리 회로 및 칼라 데이타 취급 수단은, 저장된 병렬 디스플레이 데이타를 직렬 데이타로 변환시키기 위한 P/S 변환 회로와, 상기 P/S변환 회로 각각의 신호를 선택적으로 출력하기 위한 선택 게이트 회로 및, 상기 선택 게이트 회로의 직렬 신호를 병렬 신호로 변환하기 위한 S/P 변환 회로를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 박막 디스플레이 패널용 인터페이스.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 적, 청 및 녹의 직렬 디스플레이 데이타는 적, 청 및 녹의 한 직렬 혼합 디스플레이 데이타로 변환되고, 다음에는 병렬 신호로 변환되는 것을 특징으로 하는 박막 디스플레이 패널용 인터페이스.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 선택 게이트 회로는 링 계수기에 의해 제어되는 것을 특징으로 하는 박막 디스플레이 패널용 인터페이스.
- 제1 및 제2도트 매트릭스 전극 구성을 갖는 박막 디스플레이 패널용 인터페이스에 있어서, 동기 신호에 따라서 유효 칼라 디스플레이 데이타를 메모리 수단으로 이입하기 위하여 타이밍을 취하기 위한 타이밍 수단과, 제1도트 매트릭스 전극 구성을 위해 유효 칼라 디스플레이 데이타를 저장하기 위한 제1메모리 수단과, 제2도트 매트릭스 전극 구성을 위해 유효 칼라 디스플레이 데이타를 저장하기 위한 제2메모리 수단과, 상기 저장된 칼라 디스플레이 데이타를 이용하여 제1 및 제2의 소정의 혼합 칼라 데이타를 발생하기 위한 제1 및 제2칼라 데이타 취급 수단 및 박막 칼라 디스플레이 패널의 구동기를 작동시키기 위해 필요한 타이밍 신호를 발생하기 위한 타이밍 신호 발생 수단을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 박막 디스플레이 패널용 인터페이스.
- 제7항에 있어서, 상기 인터페이스 회로는 제1 및 제2메모리 수단의 기록 또는 판독을 제어하기 위한 제어 수단, 및 기록 또는 판독 어드레스를 선택하기 위한 선택 수단을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 박막 디스플레이 패널용 인터페이스.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 메모리 수단은 적, 녹 및 청색의 비디오 디스플레이 신호를 각각의 디스플레이 신호로 변환시키기 위한 A/D 변환 회로와, A/D 변환된 디스플레이 데이타를 각기 저장하기 위한 메모리 회로, 및 상기 메모리 회로의 각각의 출력 신호를 아나로그 신호로 변환하기 위한 A/D 변환기 회로를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 박막 디스플레이 패널용 인터페이스.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 박막 디스플레이 패널은 액정, EL 플라즈마 및 LED로부터 선택된 전기-광학 소자를 이용하는 것을 특징으로 하는 박막 디스플레이 패널용 인터페이스.
