Claims (17)
- 팽창(10)기에 있어서, 압력하에 있는 일정양의 저장된 가스를 저장하며, 저장된 팽창가스와 연통하고 있는 제1파열디스크로 구성되어 있으며 그리고 가스의 방출을 챔버로부터 방지하는 압력탱크(12, 14, 16, 20), 개구를 가지고 있으며 그리고 한끝에서 제1파열디스크와 다른 한끝에서 제2파열디스크(80)를 구멍나게 하는 제1수단을 포함하고 있는 미끄럼피스톤(72), 그리고 제2파열디스크(80)부근에 제공되어 있으며, 연소될때 가스화된 연소생성물을 발생시키는 추진제(90)로 구성되며, 압력형성에 따라 제1파열디스크를 구멍나게 하도록 상기 제1파열디스크와 맞물려 있는 이동가능한 상기 미끄럼피스톤(72)은 추진제(90)의 연소에 반응하여 제2파열 디스크(80)상에 작용하고 이에 의해 저장된 팽창가스의 배출을 허용하며, 상기 제2파열디스크는 연소추진제로 인하여 연속적으로 형성한 압력에 의해 파괴된후 연소 추진제로부터 초래한 가열된 연소생성물이 팽창기로부터 빠져나옴에 앞서 저장된 팽창가스의 온도를 증가시키도록 미끄럼피스톤(72)의 개구를 통하여 유동하도록 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 팽창기.
- 제1항에 있어서, 압력탱크(12)는 원통형 슬리이브(14), 슬리이브 한끝에 고정된 제1엔드캡(16)과 다른 한끝에 고정된 제2엔드캡(20)으로 구성되어 있으며, 상기 제2엔드캡(20)은 슬리이브(14)안으로 뻗은 좁은 부분(40)을 포함하고 일반원통형 형상으로 되어 있으며, 상기 좁은 부분은 제1개구(44)를 형성하고 있으며, 제1파열 디스크(46)은 제1개구(44)를 폐쇄하도록 좁은 부분에 고정되어 있으며, 상기 제2엔드캡(20)은 제1파열디스크(46)에 구멍이 생겨 가스가 관통하여 빠져나가는 적어도 하나의 오리피스개구(120)를 더 포함하고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 팽창기.
- 제1항에 있어서, 제1엔드캡(16)은 압력탱크(12)내부에 위치된 압력센서(30)를 지지하는 것을 특징으로 하는 팽창기.
- 제1항에 있어서, 추진제하우징(52)은 제2엔드캡(20)내에 고정위치되고, 제2엔드캡(20) 내부로부터 이격되어 있고, 제1파열디스크(46)를 직면하고 있는 제2개구를 포함하고 있으며, 중공슬리이브부재(60)는 하우징(52)에 고정되고 제2개구(54)를 통하여 뻗어 있으며, 그리고 상기 미끄럼피스톤(72)은 슬리이브부재(60)내에 수용되어 이동 가능한 것을 특징으로 하는 팽창기.
- 제4항에 있어서, 제1파열디스크(46)를 향한 방향으로 미끄럼피스톤(72)의 이동을 억제하는 제1수단(84)을 포함하고 있으며, 상기 제1수단은 연소추진제에 의해 발생된 압력이 제1소정된 값에 도달될때까지 미끄럼피스톤(72)의 이동을 억제하는 것을 특징으로 하는 팽창기.
- 제5항에 있어서, 슬리이브부재(60)은 제1파열디스크(46)로부터 멀리 직면한 끝에서 미끄럼피스톤이 추진제하우징(52)을 향한 방향으로 이동하는 것을 방지하는 제2수단(86)을 포함하고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 팽창기.
- 제7항에 있어서, 제2수단(86)은 좁은 밴드 또는 와이어를 포함하고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 팽창기.
- 제4항에 있어서, 추진제(90)은 미끄럼피스톤(72)으로부터 이격된 추진제하우징(52)내에 고정되어 있으며, 기폭기수단(100, 102)은 충돌시를 나타내는 제어신호에 반아여 추진제가 연소하도록 열을 발생시키며, 가압수단(104, 106)은 기폭기수단과 추진제(90)를 개재시켜 추진제가 이동을 방지하도록 추진제어 예비하중을 가하는 것을 특징으로 하는 팽창기.
- 제8항에 있어서, 가압수단(104, 106)은 추진제(90)와 상호작용하는 스크린(104)으로 구성되어 있으며, 상기 스크린(104)은 기폭기수단에 의해 발생된 열을 추진제에 균일하게 분배하는 수단으로서 기능을 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 팽창기.
- 제8항에 있어서, 가압수단은 추진제(90)위로 스크린(104)을 예비하중 가하는 탄성재료를 더 포함하고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 팽창기.
- 제1항에 있어서, 디퓨저(130)는 팽창가스가 상기 디퓨저(130) 주위에 장착된 에어백(140)에 분배하도록 팽창기 주위에 위치된 것을 특징으로 하는 팽창기.
- 제8항에 있어서, 기폭기수단은 추진제하우징(52)에 고정된 기폭기하우징(100)와 추진제의 연소를 기폭시키는 도화폭관 또는 기폭기(102)를 포함하고 있으며, 발화폭진수단(110)은 추진제(90)에 공급된 열을 증가시키기 위해서 도화폭관과 추진제(90) 사이에 위치된 것을 특징으로 하는 팽창기.
- 제4항에 있어서, 슬리이브부재(60)는 피스톤이 파열디스크를 구멍나게 한 위치에서 슬라이딩피스톤(72)을 유지하기 위한 수단을 포함하고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 팽창기.
- 제13항에 있어서, 마지막으로 언급된 수단은 슬리이브부재(60)과 미끄럼피스톤(72) 사이에서 억지끼워맞춤을 이루기 위한 수단을 포함하고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 팽창기.
