차량용 브레이크 회로
도면은 본 발명의 바람직한 예를 나타내는 회로도이다.

본 발명은 덤프 트럭과 같은 차량에 사용하기 위한 브레이크 회로(brake circuit)에 관한 것이다.
주행중 안전을 보장하기 위해, 각종 타입의 브레이크 회로들이 덤프트럭과 같은 바퀴가 있는 차량에의 사용을 위해 제안되어 왔다. 이제까지 예를들어 2개의 시스템들중 하나가 손상되거나 또는 작동하지 않을때라도 다른 하나의 시스템의 브레이크 회로가 작동하여 차량을 정지시킬 수 있도록 배열되어 있는 2개의 독립된 시스템 즉 전륜용의 독립된 시스템과 후륜용의 독립된 시스템을 포함하는 브레이크 기어와, 전륜과 후륜 모두에 적용되는데 적합하게 되어 있고 하나가 손상될 때라도 나머지 시스템 회로가 작동하여 차량을 확실하게 정지시키도록 배열된 2개의 브레이크 시스템 회로 등이 알려지고 이용되어 왔다.
그러나 브레이크 회로가 전륜용과 후륜용의 2개의 독립된 시스템들로 이루어진 전자의 브레이크 시스템은, 상기 독립된 시스템들중 하나의 손상의 경우에 차량이 전륜 또는 후륜중 어느 하나에만 가해지는 제동력에 의해 정지되어야 하고, 그 결과 제동능력 또는 효과가 크게 감소하는 점에서 좋지 않다. 특히, 후륜용 브레이크 회로가 손상된 때, 차량의 제동시 전륜의 페이딩(fading)이 일어나는 경향이 있어 차량의 긴급정지를 달성하는 것을 어렵게 한다.
반면에, 전륜 및 후륜 모두에 적용될 수 있는 2개의 브레이크 회로 시스템들을 가진 후자의 브레이크 시스템은, 메인 회로가 손상된 때 차량을 제동시키는 것이 어렵게 되는 점에서 좋지 않다.
본 발명은 전술한 단점들을 제거하기 위해 안출된 것으로, 그의 목적은 각각 우측 및 좌측의 전륜들을 위한 독립된 브레이크들과 각각 우측 및 좌측의 후륜들을 위한 독립된 브레이크들과 2개의 우측 및 좌측 체임버들이 형성된 제동 유체 저장소를 포함하고, 상기 독립된 전륜 브레이크들과 후륜 브레이크들에 브레이크 유체 체임버들이 각각 연결되어 있고, 그 브레이크 유체 체임버들이 각개 릴레이 밸브들을 통하여 브레이크 유체용의 독립된 우측 및 좌측의 메인 도관들에 각각 연결되어 있으며, 상기 우측 및 좌측 메인 도관들이 상기 제동 유체 저장소의 우측 및 좌측 체임버들에 연결되어 있고, 상기 제동 유체 공기 저장소의 체임버들 각각에 저장된 압축된 브레이크 유체가 브레이크 페달에 의해 개폐되는데 적합하게 된 우측 및 좌측 브레이크 밸브들에 의해 상기 릴레이 밸브들내로 공급되어 차량의 제동이 달성될 수 있게 하도록 그 릴레이 밸브들의 개폐를 제어하고, 상기 메인 도관들중 하나가 손상된 때라도 차량이 전륜 및 후륜용 브레이크들을 작동시킴에 의해 안전하게 정지될 수 있도록 하는 방식으로 상기 구성요소들이 배치된 차량용 브레이크 회로를 제공하는데 있다.
본 발명의 다른 목적, 이점 및 특징들은 본 발명의 바람직한 구조적 예가 기술된 하기 설명 및 첨부도면을 참조하여 당업자에 보다 명백하게 될 것이다.
본 발명을 첨부도면을 참조하여 이하 더 상세히 설명한다.
번호(1)(1')는 덤프트럭등과 같은 건설용 차량의 우측 및 좌측 전륜용 브레이크들을 나타내고, (2)(2')는 우측 및 좌측 후륜용의 브레이크들을 나타내며, 우측 및 좌측 브레이크들 각각이 독립적으로 제공되어 있다. 전륜용 브레이크들(1)(1')는 브레이크 유체용의 2개의 도관(3)(3')에 의해 서로 연결되어 있고, 후륜용 브레이크들(2)(2')는 이중 첵크밸브(4)(4')를 통하여 브레이크 유체용 도관(5)(5')에 의하여 서로 연결되어있다. 전륜 브레이크들(1)(1')를 연결하는 도관들(3)(3')중 도관(3)은 브레이크 유체 체임버(6)을 통하여 브레이크 유체용의 우측 메인 도관(7)에 연결되어 있고, 도관(3')는 브레이크 유체 체임버(6')를 통하여 좌측 메인 도관(7')에 연결되어 있다. 2개의 체임버(81) 및 (82)로 분할된 제동 유체 저장소(8)이 설치되어 있고, 메인 도관(7)(7')가 각각 체임버(81)(82)에 연결되어 있다.
제동 유체 저장소(8)과 브레이크 유체 체임버들(6)(6') 각각과의 사이에 릴레이 밸브(11)(11')가 설치되어 있다. 그 릴레이 밸브들은 파일로트 공기 도관(10)(10')를 통하여 긴급 브레이크 밸브(9)로 부터 공급되는 파일로트 공기 압력에 의해 개방 및 폐쇄되는데 적합하게 되어 있다.
또한 후륜 브레이크(2)(2')에 연결된 도관(5)(5')는 브레이크 유체 체임버(12)(12')를 통하여 전술한 메인도관(7)(7')에 각각 연결되어 있다. 브레이크 유체 체임버(12)(12') 각각과 제동 유체 공기 저장소(8) 사이에 릴레이 밸브(14)(14')가 설치되어 있다. 그 릴레이 밸브(14)(14')는 각각 파일로트 도관(13)(13')를 통하여 긴급 브레이크 밸브(9)로 부터 공급되는 파일로트 공기 압력에 의해 개방 및 폐쇄되는데 적합하게 되어있다.
습식 저장소(wet reservoir)(15)내에 축적된 압축 공기가 첵크 밸브(16)(16')를 통하여 제동 유체 저장소(8)내 체임버(81)(82)내로 공급된다. 제동 유체 저장소(8)에 형성된 체임버(81)(82) 각각에 저장된 압축공기는 브레이크 페달(17)를 누름에 의해 동시에 작동되는데 적합하게 된 독립적인 우측 및 좌측 브레이크 밸브(18)(18')를 통하여, 그리고 도관(19)(19')를 통하여 각각 릴레이 밸브(11)(11')내로 공급되고, 또한 이중 첵크 밸브(20)(20')를 통하여 각각 릴레이 밸브(14)(14')내로 공급되어 릴레이 밸브(11)(11')(14) 및 (14')를 개방시키고, 그리하여 제동 유체 저장소(8)내 공기가 메인 도관(7)(7')를 통하여 브레이크 유체 체임버(6)(6')(12) 및 (12') 각각으로 흐르게 한다. 그 결과, 압력 유체 또는 압력 오일이 브레이크 유체 체임버(6)(6')(12) 및 (12')로 부터 전륜 브레이크(1)(1')와 후륜 브레이크(2)(2')내로 공급되어 전륜 및 후륜 모두를 제동시킨다.
반면, 습식 저장소(15)내에 저장된 압축공기는 도관(22) 및 첵크 밸브(23)을 통하여 저장소(24)내로 그리고 도관(25)를 통하여 긴급 브레이크 밸브(9)내로 공급되고, 또한 도관(26)을 통하여 주차 브레이크 밸브(27)내로 공급된다. 지연기 밸브(retarder valve)(28)인 개방된 때, 저장소(24)내로 공급된 압축공기는 도관(29) 및 이중 첵크 밸브(20)(20')를 통하여 릴레이 밸브(14)(14')내로 흘러 그 릴레이 밸브들을 개방시키고, 그리하여 후륜 브레이크(2)(2')가 지연기(retarder)로 작용할 수 있게 된다. 긴급 브레이크 밸브(9)가 개방된 때, 그에 공급된 압축공기는 도관(10)(10')(13)(13')를 통하여 릴레이 밸브(11)(11')(14) 및 (14')내로 흘러 전륜 브레이크(1)(1')와 후륜 브레이크(2)(2')가 동시에 작동될 수 있게 한다. 주차 브레이크 밸브(27)이 개방된 때, 그에 공급된 압축공기는 주차 브레이크(30)내로 흘러 그 주차 브레이크를 개방시킨다. 또한 주차 브레이크(30)은 압축공기가 공급된 때 이완되고 압축공기의 공급이 단절된 때는 스프링의 탄력에 의해 제동 상태하에 유지되는데 적합하게 된 네가티브(negative) 브레이크이다. 번호(31)(31')는 메인 도관(7)(7')들중 하나가 손상된 때라도 브레이크 유체 체임버(12) 또는 (12')에 다른 하나의 메인 도관(7) 또는 (7')를 통하여 압축공기가 공급될 수 있도록 설치된 보호 밸브를 나타낸다. 본 발명이 전술한 바와같이 구성되어 있기 때문에 메인 도관(7)(7')에 연결된 릴레이 밸브(11)(11')(14) 및 (14')를 동시에 개방시키도록 브레이크 밸브(18)(18')를 개방시키기 위해 브레이크 페달(17)을 누름에 의해 정규 제동 작동이 수행된다.
메인 도관들(7)(7')중 하나가 손상된 때라도 제동 유체 저장소(8)로 부터 나머지 도관(7') 또는 (7)을 통하여 공급된 압축공기가 전륜 브레이크(1)(1')와 후륜 브레이크(2)(2')에 제동력을 부여하여 차량의 제동이 행해질 수 있게 하고, 차량이 안전하게 정지될 수 있다. 또한, 파일로트 회로에 이상이 생긴 때라도 제동유체 저장소(8)에 저장된 압축공기가 릴레이 밸브(11)(11')(14) 및 (14')내로 공급되어 그 밸브들을 작동시켜 전륜 브레이크(1)(1')와 후륜 브레이크(2)(2')가 동시에 작동될 수 있게 한다.
따라서 도관들중 하나가 손상되거나 또는 밸브 등과 같은 장치에 문제가 있을 때라도 차량이 안전하게 정지될 수 있어 차량 운행에 있어서의 안전도가 증진될 수 있다.
상기 설명은 본 발명의 바람직한 예를 단지 예시하는 것이고, 본 발명의 범위가 그에 한정되는 것이 아니며, 청구범위에 의해 결정된다.

Claims (1)

  1. 차량의 전후륜에 좌우 독립된 전륜 브레이크(1, 1')들과 후륜브레이크(2, 2')들을 각각 설치하고, 이들 전·후륜 브레이크(1, 1', 2, 2')들의 브레이크 유체 체임버(6, 6', 12, 12')들을 좌우 독립한 메인도관(7, 7')들 상에 릴레이 밸브(11, 11', 14, 14')들을 경유하여 연결하고, 메인도관(7, 7')에는 제동 유체 저장소(8)의 양 체임버(81, 82)내의 에어를 브레이크 페달(17)에 의해 개폐되는 브레이크 밸브(18, 18')로서 상기 각 릴레이 밸브(11, 11', 14, 14')들로 공급하여 이들을 개폐 제어하도록 함을 특징으로 하는 차량용 브레이크 회로.
