- 드로틀로 제어되는 엔진(14)과 변속기 입력축과 변속기 출력축(20) 사이에서 다수의 기어비로 선택적으로 결합될 수 있는 변속기(12)를 가진 장치를 위한 자동기계변속 시스템(10)을 제어하는 방법으로서, 상기 엔진(14)과 입력축 사이의 미끄럼방지 구동연결을 제공하며 선택적으로 결합 및 분리될 수 있는 마스터클러치(16)에 의해 상기 변속기 입력축은 상기 엔진에 작동적으로 연결되고, 상기 자동기계변속 시스템은 중앙처리장치(42)를 포함하고, 중앙처리장치(42)는 클러치의 완전결합상태를 표시해주는 입력신호, 변속기의 현재 결합된 기어비를 표시해주는 입력신호(GR), 엔진의 회전속도를 표시해주는 입력신호(ES), 변속기 입력축의 회전속도를 도시해주는 입력신호(IS), 변속기 출력축의 회전속도를 표시해주는 입력신호(OS)를 포함하는 입력신호들을 수신하는 수단을 가지고 있으며, 상기 처리장치는 어떤 프로그램에 따라서 상기 입력신호들을 처리하여 상기 프로그램에 파라서 변속시스템이 동작하게 하는 출력신호를 발생하는 수단과, 상기 변속시스템과 관련되어 있어 상기 처리장치의 상기 출력신호들에 응답하여 상기 기어비들의 결합을 수행하도록 상기 변속시스템을 작동시키는 수단(34)을 포함하는 상기 방법에 있어서, 엔진의 회전속도 및 입력축과 출력축의 회전속도를 표시해주는 틀린 입력신호의 유무를 감지하는 단계와; 상기 엔진 및 입력축, 출력축의 회전속도를 표시하는 입력신호들 중 하나만이 틀렸다고 결정되면, 식별된 틀린 입력신호에 대한 하용값을 결정하도록 상기 입력신호들의 처리논리규칙들을 정의하므로써 상기 프로그램을 수정하는 단계로 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 자동기계변속 시스템(10)의 제어방법.
