Claims (7)
- 구동토크를 발생하는 엔진과, 샤시(10)와, 노면에 대해 변위하도록 상기 샤시(10)를 탄성적으로 지지하기 위한 차량 프레임과, 수직 중심면(66) 및 그 수직중심면에 대해 수직인 차륜축(58)을 구비하는 차륜 조립체(62)를 구비하고, 이 차륜 조립체(62)가 상기 중심면(66)에 대해 운동을 할때 차륜 조립체(62)의 캠버각 변화가 있도록 구성되어 있는 차량에 설치되는 독립차륜 현가장치로서, 차동장치 하우징(30), 차동장치 입력축(28)을 중심으로하여 엔진으로부터 구동토오크를 전달받도록 엔진과의 연결을 위해 차동장치 하우징(30)의엔진단에 설치되는 차동장치 입력샤프트(24)를 구비하는 차동장치(26)를 포함하며, 상기 차동장치 하우징(30)은 상기 입력축(28)의 양측상에서 차동장치 출력축(32)을 가지는 한쌍의 측부(34,36)를 구비하여, 상기 차동장치(26)는 상기 구동토크를 차동장치 입력축(28)으로부터 출력축(32)까지 전달하며 또한 상기 차동장치 입력축(28)을 차륜축(58)에 대해 수직으로 위치시키도록 상기 차량 프레임에 의해 지지되게 구성된 독립차륜 현가장치에 있어서, 상기 차동장치 하우징(30)의 양측부(34,36)내에는 상기 차동장치 출력축(32) 주위를 회전 할 수 있는 외부조인트 부재(42)를 구비하는 내측 정속 유니버셜 조인트(40)가 설치되고, 상기 각 차륜 조립체(62)에는 상기 차륜축(58)주위를 선회할 수 있는 조인트 부재(56)를 구비하는 외측 정속 유니버셜 조인트(54)가 연결되어 있고, 상기 내측 정속 유니버셜 조인트(40)와 외측 정속 유니버셜 조인트(54)는 구동샤프트(46)에 의해 결합되어 구동축(48)을 따라 토크 및 축방향 트러스트 부하를 전달하며, 상기 내측 및 외측 정속 유니버셜 조인트(40,54) 각각은 상기 구동축(48) 및 상기 차동장치 출력축(32) 및 차륜축(58)의 교차에 의해 형성되고 상기 두조인트(40,54)간의 스윙아암 길이를 설정하는 내측 및 외측조인트 결합점(50,64)을 가지고 있으며, 상기 내측조인트 결합점(50)은 차동장치 출력축(32)을 따라 차동장치 입력축(28)으로 부터 오프셋된 위치에 위치하여 제1피봇 베어링점을 형성하며, 상기 외측 조인트 결합점(64)은 차륜축(58)을 따라 상기 중심면(66)에 대해 오프셋된 위치에 위치하며, 상기 차륜 조립체(62)와 샤시(10)는 스윙축(84)을 가지는 스윙아암(70)에 의해 결합되며, 그 스윙아암(70)은 제2피봇 베어링점을 형성하는 피봇핀(78)을 구비하며, 상기 피봇핀(78)은 상기 스윙축(84)을 중심으로하여 상기 차량 프레임에 대한 상기 차륜 조립체(62)의 운동을 가능케하며, 또한 스윙아암(70)의 길이를 최대화시켜 차륜 캠버각 변화를 최소화 시킬 수 있도록 상기 피봇핀(78)은 상기 스윙축(84)과 구동축(48)의 오프셋각(C)과 스윙축(84)과 차륜축(58)의 오프셋각(D)을 각각 예정된 각도로 할 수 있게끔 차량 프레임상의 요구되는 위치에 장착되는 것을 특징으로 하는 독립 차륜 현가장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 차륜 캠버각 변화의 최소화는 차륜축(58)과 스윙축(84)의 오프셋각(D), 구동축(48)과 차륜축(58)의 오프셋각(B), 구동축(48)과 스윙축(84)의 오프셋가(C), 차륜축(58)의 오프셋, 내측 정속 유니버셜 조인트(40)의 오프셋, 외측 정속 유니버셜 조인트(54)의 오프셋, 그리고 피봇핀(78)의 위치중 적어도 2개의 인자의 조합에 의해 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 독립차륜 현가장치.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 2개 이상의 인자는 구동축(48)과 차륜축(58)의 예정된 오프셋각(B)과, 차륜축(58)과 스윙축(84)의 예정된 오프셋각(D)으로서, 오프셋각(B)은 5도 이상이며, 오프셋각(D)은 30도 미만인 것을 특징으로 하는 독립차륜 현가장치.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 2개 이상의 인자는 외측 유니버셜 조인트(54)의 오프셋과 내측 정속 유니버셜 조인트(40)의 오프셋으로서, 외측 정속 유니버셜 조인트(54)의 오프셋에 의해 외측 조인트 결합점(64)와 내측조인트 결합점(50)이 위치하는 중심면이 설정되는 것을 특징으로 하는 독립차륜 현가장치.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 2개 이상의 인자는 내, 외측 정속유니버셜 조인트(40,54)의 오프셋들로서, 내측정속 유니버셜조인트(40)의 외부 조인트부재(42)는 상기한 내측 정속 유니버셜조인트(40)의 오프셋을 구성하는 외경(D)을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 독립차륜 현가장치.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 2개 이상의 인자는 내,외측 정속 유니버셜 조인트(40,54)의 오프셋들로서, 이 두 인자는 구동축(48)과 차륜축(58)의 오프셋각(B)을 5도이상으로 설정시키도록 차륜축의 오프셋과 조합되는 것을 특징으로 하는 독립차륜 현가장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 오프셋각(C)이 30도 미만으로 되도록 오프셋각(B)와 협력하는 것을 특징으로 하는 독립차륜 현가장치.
