Abstract

본 발명은 자동차 디스크 브레이크의 면압조정용 가압 플레이트에 관한 것으로, 라이딩측인 우측부(14)에 비해 리딩측인 좌측부(12)의 면적을 넓게 형성하여 제동시 좌측부(12)는 힘의 분산으로 내측브레이크패드(28)에 대한 가압력을 약화시켜서 디스크(30)에 의해 내측브레이크패드(28)의 리딩측에 가해지는 큰 하중을 상쇄시켜 주도록 구성하여 내측브레이크패드(28)가 전체적으로 균일한 면압하에서 디스크(30)를 가압하여 제동이 이루어질 수 있도록 한 것이다.

Description

자동차 디스크 브레이크의 면압조정용 가압 플레이트{Pressurization plate for face pressure adjustment of automobile disc brakes}
본 발명은 자동차 디스크 브레이크의 면압조정용 가압 플레이트에 관한 것으로서, 상세하게는 회전하는 디스크에 의해 브레이크패드의 리딩측에 주어지는 하중을 적절히 상쇄시켜서 제동시 브레이크패드에 전체적으로 균일한 면압이 주어질 수 있도록 한 것이다.
일반적으로 자동차용 디스크 브레이크는 휠과 함께 회전하는 디스크를 사이에 두고 캐리어측의 피스톤에 결합되는 내측브레이크패드와 하우징에 결합되는 외측브레이크패드가 서로 마주하도록 하여 주행중 운전자가 브레이크패달을 밟게 되면 피스톤의 작동으로 내측브레이크패드가 디스크를 가압해주도록 함과 아울러 그 가압력에 의해 하우징이 캐리어로부터 슬라이딩하면서 외측브레이크패드도 디스크를 가압하여 제동이 이루어지도록 구성된다.
다만 이러한 제동시 내측브레이크패드를 가압하는 피스톤은 가압면의 면적이 작아 면적이 넓은 브레이크패드를 전체적으로 가압해줄 수 없게 되므로 소음 및 진동이 심하게 발생하게 되고 또 제동이 안정감 있게 이루어질 수 없게 된다.
따라서 피스톤과 내측 브레이크패드 사이에 면적이 넓은 가압플레이트를 결합하여 피스톤의 가압력을 내측브레이크패드에 전체적으로 전달해줄 수 있도록 한 자동차 디스크 브레이크의 면압조정용 가압 플레이트에 대하여 이미 미국공개특허 US 2014/0284152 '디스크 브레이크, 특히 상용차의 디스크 브레이크의 압력플레이트 및 디스크 브레이크의 브레이크패드' 및 미국특허 US 9,291,226 '디스크 브레이크 및 디스크 브레이크용 압력플레이트와 브레이크패드' 등이 제공된바 있다.
그러나 상기한 자동차 디스크 브레이크의 면압조정용 가압 플레이트는 디스크 브레이크 고유의 특수성을 감안하지 않고 단순히 가압플레이트를 브레이크패드의 백플레이트와 유사한 외형을 갖도록 좌우대칭형으로 넓게 형성되므로 피스톤의 가압력을 브레이크패드에 전체적으로 고르게 전달해줄 수는 있다 하겠으나, 직선운동하는 브레이크패드가 회전운동하는 디스크를 가압할 시 디스크의 회전토크로 인하여 내측브레이크패드가 디스크의 회전방향으로 밀리면서 리딩측에 라이딩측에 비해 큰 하중이 가해지게 되면 편마모가 발생하게 되므로 사용수명단축에 의한 금전적손실을 가져오게 됨은 물론 브레이크패드의 면압불균형으로 인하여 제동력저하로 이어지게 되는 등 많은 문제점들이 발생하게 된다.

본 발명의 목적은 제동시 디스크에 의해 브레이크패드의 리딩측에 가해지는 큰 하중을 상쇄시켜서 브레이크패드가 전체적으로 균일한 면압하에서 디스크를 가압하여 제동이 이루어지도록 할 수가 있는 자동차 디스크 브레이크의 면압조정용 가압 플레이트를 제공하는데 있다.
상기한 목적달성을 위한 본 발명 자동차 디스크 브레이크의 면압조정용 가압 플레이트는 라이딩측인 우측부에 비해 리딩측인 좌측부의 면적을 넓게 형성하여 제동시 좌측부는 힘의 분산으로 내측브레이크패드에 대한 가압력을 약화시켜서 디스크에 의해 내측브레이크패드의 리딩측에 가해지는 큰 하중을 상쇄시켜주도록 구성함을 특징으로 한다.
본 발명은 제동시 디스크에 의해 내측브레이크패드의 리딩측에 가해지는 큰 하중을 상쇄시켜서 내측브레이크패드가 전체적으로 균일한 면압하에서 디스크를 가압하여 제동이 이루어지도록 할 수가 있게 되므로 브레이크패드의 사용수명을 보장해줄 수 있고 또 면압불균형에 의한 제동력저하를 방지해줄 수 있게 되는 등의 효과를 기대할 수 있게 된다.

이하 본 발명의 바람직한 실시예를 첨부한 도면에 의거 상세히 설명하기로 하며, 다만 도면들 중 동일한 구성요소들은 가능한 동일부호로 기재하고, 관련된 공지기술이나 기능에 대한 구체적인 설명은 본 발명의 요지가 모호해지지 않도록 하기 위하여 생략하기로 한다.
도 1은 본 발명의 사시도이고, 도 2는 본 발명의 정면구성도로서, 본 발명 자동차 디스크 브레이크의 면압조정용 가압 플레이트(10)는 리딩측인 좌측부(12)는 면적을 넓게 형성하고 또 라이딩측인 우측부(14)는 면적을 좁게 형성하며, 피스톤(16)(18)과 마주하는 면에는 피스톤(16)(18)의 선단부를 결합하기 위한 결합홈(20)(22)을 형성하여 구성한다.
도 3은 본 발명의 설치시를 보여주는 분해사시도이고, 도 4는 본 발명의 사용상태를 보여주는 사시도로서, 본 발명은 자동차 디스크 브레이크(24)의 하우징(26) 측에 설치되는 피스톤(16)(18)과 내측브레이크패드(28) 사이에 결합하여 피스톤(16)(18)의 작동시 피스톤(16)(18)에 의해 가해지는 가압력을 내측브레이크패드(28)에 전달하여 제동이 이루어지도록 하게 된다.
즉, 주행중 운전자가 브레이크패달을 밟게 되면 피스톤(16)(18)은 본 발명 면압조정용 가압 플레이트(10)가 피스톤(16)(18)의 가압력을 내측브레이크패드(28)에 전달하여 내측브레이크패드(28)가 디스크(30)를 가압하도록 함과 아울러 그 가압력에 의해 하우징(28)과 브릿지(32)가 캐리어(34)로부터 슬라이딩하면서 외측브레이크패드(36)도 디스크(30)를 가압하여 제동이 이루어지도록 하게 된다.
그리고 이러한 제동시 직선운동하는 내측브레이크패드(28)가 회전운동하는 디스크(30)를 가압하게 되면 내측브레이크패드(28)는 디스크(30)의 회전토크로 인하여 디스크(30)의 회전방향으로 밀리면서 리딩측에는 라이딩측에 비해 큰 하중이 가해지게 되나, 피스톤(16)(18)의 가압력을 내측브레이크패드(28)에 전달하는 본 발명 면압조정용 가압 플레이트(10)는 리딩측인 좌측부(12)가 라이딩측인 우측부(14)에 비해 면적이 넓어 좌측부(12)는 힘의 분산에 의한 가압력의 약화로 디스크에 의해 내측브레이크패드(28)의 리딩측에 가해지는 큰 하중을 상쇄시켜주게 되므로 내측브레이크패드(28)는 전체적으로 균일한 면압하에서 디스크(30)를 가압하여 제동이 이루어지도록 하게 된다.
따라서 본 발명은 제동시 디스크에 의해 내측브레이크패드(28)의 리딩측에 가해지는 큰 하중을 상쇄시켜서 내측브레이크패드(28)가 전체적으로 균일한 면압하에서 디스크(30)를 가압하여 제동이 이루어지도록 할 수가 있게 되므로 브레이크패드의 사용수명을 보장해줄 수 있고 또 면압불균형에 의한 제동력저하를 방지해줄 수가 있게 된다.
이상에서 설명한 바와 같이 본 발명은 그 권리범위는 전술한 실시예 및 첨부된 도면에 의해 한정되는 것은 아니고, 본 발명의 기술적 사상을 벗어나지 않는 범위 내에서 여러가지 치환, 변형 및 변경이 가능하며, 이는 본 발명이 속하는 기술분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자에 있어서는 자명한 것이다.

Claims (1)

  1. 자동차 디스크 브레이크의 캐리어에 설치되는 피스톤과 내측브레이크패드 사이에 면압조정용 가압 플레이트를 결합하되, 상기 면압조정용 가압 플레이트는 리딩측인 좌측을 라이딩측인 우측에 비해 면적을 넓게 형성하여 구성함을 특징으로 하는 자동차 디스크 브레이크의 면압조정용 가압 플레이트.
