Claims (15)
- 선박 평형수(ballast water)를 선박 평형수 라인을 통해 밸러스트 탱크(ballast tank)로 도입하고 상기 밸러스트 탱크에서 보유 시간 후 상기 밸러스트 탱크로부터 선박 평형수를 배출시키도록 구성된 선박 평형수 관리(ballast water management: BWM) 시스템으로서,
적어도 하나의 애노드 및 적어도 하나의 캐소드를 구비한 전해질 전지에 유체 흐름 가능하게 연결된 클로라이드-함유수의 소스를 포함하는, 살생물제를 상기 선박 평형수로 도입하도록 구성된, 살생물제 소스,
적어도 하나의 애노드 및 적어도 하나의 캐소드를 통해 직류를 공급하여서 상기 살생물제를 생성하도록 배치된 전원장치로서, 인가된 직류의 인가된 전압은 상기 직류의 목표 암페어수를 달성하도록 조절되는, 상기 전원장치; 및
상기 살생물제의 살생물성 활성을 적어도 부분적으로 중화시키도록 선택된 중화 물질을 배수 선박 평형수로 도입하도록 구성된 중화 시스템을 포함하는, BWM 시스템. - 제1항에 있어서, 상기 살생물제 소스는 상기 전해질 전지로 도입되는 클로라이드-함유수의 유속을 조정하도록 구성된, BWM 시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 선박 평형수 라인에 유체 흐름 가능하게 연결되고, 상기 밸러스트 탱크로 도입되는 선박 평형수로부터 고체의 적어도 일부를 제거하도록 배치된 필터를 추가로 포함하는, BWM 시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 클로라이드-함유수의 소스는 임의의 선박 냉각수 시스템, 해수 상자 및 클로라이드-함유수 저장 탱크인, BWM 시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 살생물제 소스는 상기 선박 평형수 라인으로부터 유체로 격리된 클로라이드-함유수의 소스에 유체 흐름 가능하게 연결된 입구를 포함하는, BWM 시스템.
- 제1항 내지 제5항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 배수 선박 평형수의 ORP값을 측정하도록 구성된 제1 산화-환원 전위(oxidation-reduction potential: ORP) 센서를 추가로 포함하는, BWM 시스템.
- 제6항에 있어서, 상기 중화 시스템은, 상기 제1 ORP 센서로부터의 측정된 ORP값이 목표 ORP값보다 낮은 경우, OFF 모드에서, 상기 중화 물질을 도입하는 것을 중단하도록 구성된, BWM 시스템.
- 제7항에 있어서, 상기 중화 물질 도입 부위로부터 하류에 상기 배수 선박 평형수의 제2 ORP값을 측정하도록 구성된 제2 ORP 센서를 추가로 포함하는, BWM 시스템.
- 선박의 밸러스트 탱크에 유체 흐름 가능하게 연결 가능한 선박 평형수 관리(BWM) 시스템으로서,
선박 평형수로 도입되는 염소계 살생물제를 생성하도록 구성된 전해조를 포함하는 염소화 시스템;
상기 전해조의 조작을 조절하도록 구성된 제1 조절장치;
상기 선박으로부터 배출되는 선박 평형수에서 상기 염소계 살생물제를 환원시키도록 선택된 중화 물질의 소스를 포함하는, 상기 밸러스트 탱크로부터 하류에 유체 흐름 가능하게 연결된 탈염소화 시스템;
상기 배출되는 선박 평형수의 ORP값을 결정하도록 구성된 산화-환원 전위(ORP) 센서;
제1 탈염소화 모드 및 제2 탈염소화 모드 중 적어도 하나에서 상기 배출되는 선박 평형수에 대한 상기 중화 물질의 첨가를 조절하도록 구성된 제2 조절장치를 포함하고,
상기 제2 조절장치는, 상기 배출되는 선박 평형수의 ORP값이 목표 ORP값보다 낮은 경우, 상기 제1 탈염소화 모드에서 상기 중화 물질의 첨가를 조절하고,
상기 제2 조절장치는, 상기 배출되는 선박 평형수의 ORP값이 목표 ORP값 이상인 경우, 상기 제2 탈염소화 모드에서 상기 중화 물질의 첨가를 조절하는, BWM 시스템. - 제9항에 있어서, 상기 목표 ORP값은 약 200mV 미만인, BWM 시스템.
- 제10항에 있어서, 상기 탈염소화 시스템은 상기 배출되는 선박 평형수로의 상기 중화 물질의 도입의 지점으로부터 하류에 상기 선박 평형수의 ORP값을 조절하도록 구성된 제2 ORP 센서를 추가로 포함하고, 상기 제2 조절장치는, 상기 제2 ORP 센서에 의해 측정된 하류 ORP값이 목표 ORP값보다 큰 경우, 상기 배출되는 선박 평형수에서 상기 중화 물질의 높은 목표 탈염소화 농도로 상기 중화 물질의 첨가를 조절하도록 추가로 구성된, BWM 시스템.
- 제11항에 있어서, 상기 제1 조절장치 및 상기 제2 조절장치를 포함하는 통합 제어 시스템을 포함하는, BWM 시스템.
- 선박 선박 평형수를 관리하는 방법으로서,
상기 선박의 밸러스트 탱크로 선박 평형수를 배수시키는 단계;
일정한 유속에서 전해질 전지로 클로라이드-함유수을 도입하는 단계;
일정한 전압에서 상기 전해질 전지를 통해 전류를 인가하여 염소계 살생물제를 생성하기 위한 암페어수를 달성하는 단계;
상기 암페어수를 목표값과 비교하는 단계;
상기 전압을 조정하여 상기 목표값에서 상기 암페어수를 유지시키는 단계;
상기 선박 평형수로 상기 염소계 살생물제를 도입하는 단계;
상기 밸러스트 탱크로부터 상기 선박 평형수를 배출시키는 단계; 및
상기 선박 평형수를 탈염소화하는 단계를 포함하는, 선박 선박 평형수를 관리하는 방법. - 제13항에 있어서, 상기 암페어수가 상기 목표값보다 낮은 전류로 떨어지는 경우 및 상기 전압이 최대값에 있는 경우, 상기 전해질 전지로 도입되는 클로라이드-함유수의 유속을 감소시키는 단계를 추가로 포함하는, 선박 선박 평형수를 관리하는 방법.
- 제13항 또는 제14항에 있어서, 상기 선박 평형수를 탈염소화하는 단계는 낮은 탈염소화 모드 및 높은 탈염소화 모드 중 적어도 하나에서 상기 밸러스트 탱크로부터의 이의 배출 동안에 상기 선박 평형수에 중화 물질을 첨가하는 것을 포함하고, 탈염소화는, 상기 배출되는 선박 평형수의 ORP값이 목표 ORP값보다 낮은 경우, 상기 낮은 탈염소화 모드에서 수행되고, 탈염소화는, 상기 배출되는 선박 평형수의 ORP값이 적어도 목표 ORP값인 경우, 상기 높은 탈염소화 모드에서 수행되는, 선박 선박 평형수를 관리하는 방법.
