Claims (12)
- 용접 보호를 위한 자동 차광 필터(automatic darkening filter)로서,
2개의 평평한 초박형 유리 기판(substrate)들을 갖는 제1 액정 셀(liquid crystal cell)을 포함하고,
상기 초박형 유리 기판들은 30 μm 내지 200 μm의 두께를 갖는, 자동 차광 필터. - 제1항에 있어서, 편광 방향을 각각 갖는 평평한 제1 및 제2 편광기를 추가로 포함하고, 상기 제1 및 제2 편광기는 이들의 편광 방향들이 서로에 대해 각도적으로 오프셋되어 배향되는 상태로 상기 제1 액정 셀의 반대 측면들에 중첩 방식으로 배열되는, 자동 차광 필터.
- 제2항에 있어서, 2개의 평평한 초박형 유리 기판들을 갖는 제2 액정 셀을 추가로 포함하는 자동 차광 필터.
- 제3항에 있어서, 편광 방향을 갖는 평평한 제3 편광기를 추가로 포함하고, 상기 제2 및 제3 편광기는 상기 제2 액정 셀의 반대 측면들에 중첩 방식으로 배열되며, 상기 제1 및 제3 편광기는 이들의 편광 방향들이 서로에 대해 평행하게 또는 6 내지 12도 범위 내의 각도로 배향되는 상태로 배열되는, 자동 차광 필터.
- 제3항 또는 제4항에 있어서, 상기 제1 및 제2 액정 셀 각각은 에지 밀봉부(edge sealing)를 가지고, 상기 에지 밀봉부는 상기 유리 기판들 및 상기 에지 밀봉부에 의해 형성된 공간 내에 액정들을 밀봉하는, 자동 차광 필터.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 유리 기판들 각각은 투명 전극 층 및 상기 액정들을 위한 정렬 층을 포함하는, 자동 차광 필터.
- 제1항 내지 제6항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 초박형 유리 기판들은 50 μm 내지 150 μm의 두께를 갖는, 자동 차광 필터.
- 제4항에 있어서, 제3 액정 셀 및 제4 편광기를 구비하고, 상기 제1, 제2 및 제3 액정 셀은 상기 제1 편광기와 상기 제4 편광기 사이에 배열되며, 상기 제2 편광기는 상기 제1 액정 셀과 상기 제2 액정 셀 사이에 배열되고, 상기 제3 편광기는 상기 제2 액정 셀과 상기 제3 액정 셀 사이에 배열되는, 자동 차광 필터.
- 제8항에 있어서, 제4 액정 셀 및 제5 편광기를 구비하고, 상기 제1, 제2, 제3 및 제4 액정 셀은 상기 제1 편광기와 상기 제5 편광기 사이에 배열되며, 상기 제4 편광기는 상기 제3 액정 셀과 상기 제4 액정 셀 사이에 배열되는, 자동 차광 필터.
- 제9항에 있어서, 제5 액정 셀 및 제6 편광기를 추가로 구비하고, 상기 제1, 제2, 제3, 제4 및 제5 액정 셀은 상기 제1 편광기와 상기 제6 편광기 사이에 배열되며, 상기 제5 편광기는 상기 제4 액정 셀과 상기 제6 액정 셀 사이에 배열되는, 자동 차광 필터.
- 제1항 내지 제10항 중 어느 한 항의 자동 차광 필터를 포함하는, 용접 실드(welding shield) 또는 용접 헬멧과 같은 용접 보호기(welding protector).
- 제11항에 있어서, 전원 및 광 센서를 갖고 상기 자동 차광 필터에 전기적으로 연결되는 전자 회로를 추가로 포함하고, 상기 전자 회로는 상기 자동 차광 필터가 상기 광 센서에 의해 검출된 광에 따라 스위칭되게 하도록 구성되는, 용접 보호기.
