Claims (15)
- 기재 및 코팅을 포함하는 피복 절삭 공구로서,
상기 코팅은 화학 기상 증착 (CVD) 에 의해 증착된 1-20 ㎛ 의 두께를 갖는 적어도 하나의 α-Al2O3 층을 포함하고,
상기 α-Al2O3 층은 X선 회절 패턴을 나타내고,
집합조직 계수 TC(h k l) 이 Harris 식
에 따라 규정되고,
사용된 (hkl) 반사는 (1 0 4), (1 1 0), (1 1 3), (0 2 4), (1 1 6), (2 1 4), (300) 및 (0 0 12) 이고,
I(hkl) = (hkl) 반사의 측정된 강도,
I0(hkl) = ICDD 의 PDF 카드 No. 00-10-0173 에 따른 표준 강도,
n = 8,
1 < TC(0 2 4) < 4 이고, 3 < TC(0 0 12) < 6 인, 피복 절삭 공구. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 α-Al2O3 층은 1 < TC(0 2 4) < 3 및 3.5 < TC(0 0 12) < 5.5 를 나타내는, 피복 절삭 공구. - 제 1 항에 있어서,

상기 α-Al2O3 층은, 상기 코팅의 외부 표면에 평행한 상기 α-Al2O3 층의 부분에서 EBSD 에 의해 측정했을 때, {0 0 1} 극점도를 나타내고,
상기 코팅의 외부 표면의 법선으로부터 0°≤ β ≤ 90°의 틸트각 범위에 걸친 0.25°의 빈 (bin) 크기를 갖는, 상기 극점도의 데이터에 기초한 폴 플롯 (pole plot) 은, 40% 이상의 0°≤ β ≤ 90°에서의 강도에 대한 β ≤ 15°에서의 강도의 비를 나타내고,
상기 α-Al2O3 층은, 상기 코팅의 외부 표면에 평행한 상기 α-Al2O3 층의 부분에서 EBSD 에 의해 측정했을 때, {0 1 2} 극점도를 나타내고,
상기 코팅의 외부 표면의 법선으로부터 0°≤ β ≤ 90°의 틸트각 범위에 걸친 0.25°의 빈 크기를 갖는, 상기 극점도의 데이터에 기초한 폴 플롯은, 40% 이상의 0°≤ β ≤ 90°에서의 강도에 대한 β ≤ 15°에서의 강도의 비를 나타내는, 피복 절삭 공구. - 제 5 항에 있어서,
상기 {0 0 1} 극점도 및 상기 {0 1 2} 극점도는 상기 α-Al2O3 층의 동일한 부분으로부터 유래하는, 피복 절삭 공구. - 제 1 항 내지 제 6 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 α-Al2O3 층은 주상 결정립들 (columnar grains) 을 포함하는, 피복 절삭 공구. - 제 1 항 내지 제 7 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 α-Al2O3 층은 주상 α-Al2O3 층 결정립들을 포함하고,
상기 주상 결정립들의 평균 폭은 상기 α-Al2O3 층의 중간부에서 상기 기재의 표면에 평행한 선을 따라 측정했을 때 0.5-2 ㎛ 인, 피복 절삭 공구. - 제 1 항 내지 제 8 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 α-Al2O3 층의 평균 두께는 2-10 ㎛ 인, 피복 절삭 공구. - 제 1 항 내지 제 9 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 코팅은 TiN, TiCN, TiC, TiCO, TiCNO 의 하나 이상의 층을 더 포함하는, 피복 절삭 공구. - 제 1 항 내지 제 10 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 코팅은 상기 기재의 표면으로부터 다음의 순서로 TiN, TiCN, TiCNO 및 α-Al2O3 층들을 포함하는, 피복 절삭 공구. - 제 1 항 내지 제 11 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 코팅은 최외부 마모 표시 컬러 (color) 층을 더 포함하는, 피복 절삭 공구. - 제 1 항 내지 제 12 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 기재는 기재 표면으로부터 보디 내로 약 15-35 ㎛ 의 깊이까지 표면 구역을 갖는 초경합금으로 구성되고, 상기 표면 구역은 바인더 상이 풍부하고 입방 탄화물이 본질적으로 없는, 피복 절삭 공구. - 제 1 항 내지 제 13 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 기재는 6-12 wt%, 바람직하게는 8-11 wt% 의 Co 함량을 갖는 초경합금으로 구성되는, 피복 절삭 공구. - 제 1 항 내지 제 14 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 절삭 공구는 절삭 인서트이고, 상기 절삭 인서트의 내접원이 15 ㎜ 이상의 직경을 갖는, 피복 절삭 공구.
