도 2는 도 1의 유기전계발광소자의 발광 원리를 설명하기 위한 도면이다.
도 3은 본 발명의 다른 실시예에 따른 유기전계발광소자의 구조를 나타낸 도면이다.
도 4는 본 발명의 또 다른 실시예에 따른 무기 LED(light emitting diode) 구조를 나타낸 도면이다.
도 5는 본 발명의 또 다른 실시예에 따른 광학 소자를 구비하는 유기전계발광소자를 설명하기 위한 개략적인 단면도이다.
도 6은 도 5의 변형예에 따른 광학 소자를 구비하는 유기전계발광소자를 설명하기 위한 개략적인 단면도이다.
도 7은 유기전계발광소자의 발광이 선형 편광된 경우에 단층 광학 소자 또는 한 장의 편광자(편광판)를 배열하여 추출광을 극대화하는 과정을 보여주는 도면이다.
도 8은 유기전계발광소자의 발광이 타원형 또는 원형 편광된 경우에 광학 소자(또는 편광자) 및 1/4 파장판의 조합으로 추출광을 극대화하는 과정을 보여주는 도면이다.
Claims (7)
- 스핀선택성 화합물인 헬리칼(helical) 화합물을 함유한 전자주입층 또는 전자전달층 중 어느 하나와 정공주입층을 구비하는 유기전계발광소자의 발광면 상에 배치되며, 유기전계발광소자의 전자기파를 단일 편광으로 변환하고, 상기 단일 편광의 각도는 상기 유기전계발광소자의 최대 효율을 나타내는 편광방향에 대응하는 광학 소자.
- 청구항 1에 있어서,
상기 광학 소자는 단일 편광자를 포함하는, 광학 소자. - 청구항 1에 있어서,
상기 광학 소자는 단일 편광자와 1/4 파장판의 적층 구조를 포함하는, 광학 소자. - 청구항 2 또는 3에 있어서,
상기 단일 편광자는 고분자 소재 또는 금속선을 포함하는, 광학 소자. - 청구항 1에 있어서,
상기 유기전계발광소자는 모바일 또는 일반 텔레비전용의 유기전계발광 표시장치, 유기전계발광 모니터, 또는 플렉시블 디스플레이 장치를 포함하는 디스플레이용 디바이스인 광학 소자. - 스핀선택성 화합물인 헬리칼 (helical)화합물을 함유한 전자주입층 또는 전자전달층 중 어느 하나와 정공주입층을 구비하는 유기전계발광소자; 및
상기 유기전계발광소자의 발광면 상에 배치되는 광학 소자를 포함하며,
상기 광학 소자는 상기 유기전계발광소자의 전자기파를 단일 편광으로 변환하고, 상기 단일 편광의 각도는 상기 유기전계발광소자의 최대 효율을 나타내는 편광방향에 대응하는, 유기전계발광 표시장치. - 청구항 6에 있어서,
상기 광학 소자는 상기 유기전계발광소자의 제1 발광면과 상기 제1 발광면의 반대측인 제2 발광면에 각각 배치되는, 유기전계발광 표시장치.
