Claims (11)
- 하기 화학식 I의 화합물:
상기 식에서,
R11 및 R12는, 각각 독립적으로, H, F, Cl, CN, NCS 또는 1 내지 25개의 C 원자를 갖는 직쇄 또는 분지형 알킬 기이고, 이때 상기 알킬은 비치환되거나 할로겐 또는 CN으로 일치환 또는 다치환될 수 있고, 하나 이상의 비인접 CH2 기가 각각의 경우에 서로 독립적으로 산소 원자들이 서로 직접적으로 연결되지 않는 방식으로 -O-, -S-, -NH-, -N(CH3)-, -CO-, -COO-, -OCO-, -O-CO-O-, -S-CO-, -CO-S-, -CH=CH-, -CH=CF-, -CF=CF- 또는 -C≡C-로 대체될 수 있고,
MG11은 -A11-Z11-A12-이고,
MG12는 -A13-Z12-A14-Z13-A15-이고,
Z11 내지 Z13은, 각각의 경우에 서로 독립적으로, 단일 결합, -COO-, -OCO-, -O-CO-O-, -OCH2-, -CH2O-, -OCF2-, -CF2O-, -CH2CH2-, -(CH2)4-, -CF2CF2-, -CH=CH-, -CF=CF-, -CH=CH-COO-, -OCO-CH=CH- 또는 -C≡C-이고, 이들은 임의적으로 F, S 및/또는 Si 중 하나 이상으로 치환되고,
A11 내지 A15는, 각각의 경우에 서로 독립적으로, 하나 이상의 CH 기가 N으로 대체될 수 있는 1,4-페닐렌; 1 또는 2개의 비인접 CH2 기가 O 및/또는 S로 대체될 수 있는 트랜스-1,4-사이클로-헥실렌; 1,4-사이클로헥센일렌, 1,4-바이사이클로-(2,2,2)-옥틸렌, 피페리딘-1,4-다이일, 나프탈렌-2,6-다이일, 데카하이드로-나프탈렌-2,6-다이일, 1,2,3,4-테트라하이드로-나프탈렌-2,6-다이일, 사이클로부탄-1,3-다이일, 스피로[3.3]헵탄-2,6-다이일 또는 다이스피로[3.1.3.1]데칸-2,8-다이일이고, 이들 기들은 모두 비치환되거나, F, Cl, CN 또는 1 내지 7개의 C 원자를 갖는 알킬, 알콕시, 알킬카본일 또는 알콕시카본일 기(이때 하나 이상의 H 원자는 F 또는 Cl로 치환될 수 있음)로 일-, 이-, 삼- 또는 사치환될 수 있으며,
Sp1은 1, 3 또는 5 내지 40개의 C 원자를 포함하는 스페이서 기이고, 이때 하나 이상의 비인접 및 비말단 CH2 기는 또한, 2개의 O-원자들이 서로 인접하지 않고 2개의 -CH=CH- 기가 서로 인접하지 않으며 -O-CO-, -S-CO-, -O-COO-, -CO-S-, -CO-O- 및 -CH=CH-로부터 선택된 2개의 기가 서로 인접하지 않는 방식으로, -O-, -S-, -NH-, -N(CH3)-, -CO-, -O-CO-, -S-CO-, -O-COO-, -CO-S-, -CO-O-, -CH(할로겐)-, -CH(CN)-, -CH=CH- 또는 -C≡C-로 대체될 수도 있고,
X11 및 X12는, 서로 독립적으로, -CO-O-, -O-CO-, -CH=CH-, -C≡C-, -O-, -S-CO-, -CO-S-, -S- 및 -CO- 또는 단일 결합으로부터 선택된 연결기이되,
단, -X11-Sp1-X12-에서, 2개의 O-원자들이 서로 인접하지 않고 2개의 -CH=CH- 기가 서로 인접하지 않으며 -O-CO-, -S-CO-, -O-COO-, -CO-S-, -CO-O- 및 -CH=CH-로부터 선택된 2개의 기가 서로 인접하지 않는다. - 제 1 항 내지 제 3 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
R12가 OCF3, CF3, F, Cl 및 CN로부터 선택되는 것을 특징으로 하는, 화합물. - 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
Sp1이 -(CH2)o-이고, o가 1, 3, 또는 5 내지 15의 정수인 것을 특징으로 하는, 화합물. - 제 1 항 내지 제 5 항 중 어느 한 항에 따른 하나 이상의 화학식 I의 화합물의 액정 매질에서의 용도.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 5 항 중 어느 한 항에 따른 화학식 I의 화합물을 하나 이상 포함하는 액정 매질.
- 제 7 항에 있어서,
하기 화학식 III의 화합물의 군으로부터 선택되는 하나 이상의 화합물을 추가로 포함하는 액정 매질:
R31-MG31-X31-Sp3-X32-MG32-R32 III
상기 식에서,
R31및 R32는, 각각 독립적으로, H, F, Cl, CN, NCS, 또는 치환되지 않거나 할로겐 또는 CN으로 일치환 또는 다치환될 수 있는 1 내지 25개의 C 원자를 갖는 직쇄 또는 분지형 알킬 기이되, 이때 하나 이상의 비인접 CH2 기는 각각의 경우 서로 독립적으로, 산소 원자들이 서로 직접 연결되지 않는 방식으로, -O-, -S-, -NH-,-N(CH3)-, -CO-, -COO-, -OCO-, -O-CO-O-, -S-CO-, -CO-S-, -CH=CH-, -CH=CF-, -CF=CF- 또는 -C≡C-로 대체될 수 있고,
MG31 및 MG32는 각각 독립적으로 메소젠성 기이고,
Sp3는 5 내지 40개의 C 원자를 포함하는 스페이서 기이되, 이때 하나 이상의 비인접 CH2 기는 -O-, -S-, -NH-, -N(CH3)-, -CO-, -O-CO-, -S-CO-, -O-COO-, -CO-S-, -CO-O-, -CH(할로겐)-, -CH(CN)-, -CH=CH- 또는 -C≡C-로 대체될 수 있고,
X31 및 X32는 각각 독립적으로 -O-, -S-, -CO-, -COO-, -OCO-, -O-CO-O-, -CO-NH-, -NH-CO-, -CH2CH2-, -OCH2-, -CH2O-, -SCH2-, -CH2S-, -CH=CH-, -CH=CH-COO-, -OCO-CH=CH-, -C≡C- 또는 단일 결합이며, 단,
화학식 I의 화합물은 화학식 III의 화합물에서 제외된다. - 제 7 항 또는 제 8 항에 따른 액정 매질의 액정 소자에서의 용도.
- 2개 이상의 성분을 포함하는 액정 매질을 포함하되, 상기 성분 중 하나 이상이 제 1 항 내지 제 5 항 중 어느 한 항에 따른 화학식 I의 화합물이거나 또는 화학식 I의 화합물을 포함하는, 액정 소자.
- 제 10 항에 있어서,
플렉소일렉트릭 소자인 액정 소자.
