Abstract
본 발명에 따른 디스플레이 장치는 디스플레이 패널(Display Panel), 상기 디스플레이 패널의 측면에 부착되는 연성기판(Flexible Substrate) 및 상기 디스플레이 패널의 후방에 배치되는 커버(Cover)를 포함하고, 상기 디스플레이 패널은 전극라인(Electrode Line) 및 스위칭 소자(Switching Element)가 배치되는 제 1 기판(First Substrate), 상기 제 1 기판에 대항되게 배치되는 제 2 기판(Second Substrate), 상기 제 1 기판과 상기 제 2 기판을 합착하는 실부(Seal Part), 수직방향(Vertical Direction)으로 상기 실부와 중첩하는 위치에 배치되고, 상기 전극라인과 전기적으로 연결되는 패드 전극(Pad Electrode) 및 상기 패드 전극의 일측 끝단면에 연결되고, 상기 실부의 측면에 위치하는 부분을 포함하는 측면 전극(Side Electrode)을 포함하고, 상기 연성기판은 상기 측면전극과 전기적으로 연결되고, 상기 디스플레이 패널의 전면(Front Surface)의 적어도 일측의 가장자리는 노출될 수 있다.

도 33 내지 도 62는 디스플레이 패널의 측면에 연성기판이 연결되는 구성에 대해 설명하기 위한 도면;
도 63 내지 도 74는 디스플레이 장치의 또 다른 구성에 대해 설명하기 위한 도면; 및
도 75는 본 발명에 따른 디스플레이 장치가 적용되는 전자기기의 일례에 대해 설명하기 위한 도면이다.
Claims (10)
- 디스플레이 패널(Display Panel);
상기 디스플레이 패널의 측면에 부착되는 연성기판(Flexible Substrate); 및
상기 디스플레이 패널의 후방에 배치되는 커버(Cover);
를 포함하고,
상기 디스플레이 패널은
전극라인(Electrode Line) 및 스위칭 소자(Switching Element)가 배치되는 제 1 기판(First Substrate);
상기 제 1 기판에 대항되게 배치되는 제 2 기판(Second Substrate);
상기 제 1 기판과 상기 제 2 기판을 합착하는 실부(Seal Part);
수직방향(Vertical Direction)으로 상기 실부와 중첩하는 위치에 배치되고, 상기 전극라인과 전기적으로 연결되는 패드 전극(Pad Electrode); 및
상기 패드 전극의 일측 끝단면에 연결되고, 상기 실부의 측면에 위치하는 부분을 포함하는 측면 전극(Side Electrode);
을 포함하고,
상기 연성기판은 상기 측면전극과 전기적으로 연결되고,
상기 디스플레이 패널의 전면(Front Surface)의 적어도 일측의 가장자리는 노출되는 디스플레이 장치. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 커버는
상기 디스플레이 패널의 후방에 위치하는 후방부분; 및
상기 디스플레이 패널의 측면에 위치하는 측면부분;
을 포함하는 디스플레이 장치. - 제 2 항에 있어서,
상기 후방부분과 상기 측면부분은 일체로 형성되거나, 상기 후방부분과 상기 측면부분은 체결수단에 의해 체결되는 디스플레이 장치. - 제 2 항에 있어서,
상기 커버의 상기 측면부분과 상기 디스플레이 패널의 사이 영역에서 상기 연성기판이 노출되는 디스플레이 장치. - 제 2 항에 있어서,
상기 커버의 상기 측면부분과 상기 디스플레이 패널의 사이에는 탄력성을 갖는 버퍼층(Buffer Layer)이 배치되는 디스플레이 장치. - 제 5 항에 있어서,
상기 버퍼층은 상기 커버의 상기 측면부분에 부착되는 디스플레이 장치. - 제 2 항에 있어서,
상기 커버의 상기 측면부분은 상기 수직방향으로 상기 디스플레이 패널의 전면보다 더 돌출되는 부분을 포함하는 디스플레이 장치. - 제 2 항에 있어서,
상기 커버의 상기 측면부분은 상기 디스플레이 패널의 제 1 장변(First Long Side), 제 1 단변(First Short Side) 및 제 2 단변(Second Short Side)에 대응되고,
상기 디스플레이 패널의 상기 제 1 장변에 대응되는 제 2 장변(Second Long Side)에 배치되며, 상기 커버에 연결되는 하부 커버(Bottom Cover)를 더 포함하는 디스플레이 장치. - 제 8 항에 있어서,
상기 디스플레이 패널의 제 1 장변, 제 2 장변, 제 1 단변 및 제 2 단변에서 전면의 가장자리가 각각 노출되는 디스플레이 장치. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 커버와 상기 디스플레이 패널의 사이에 배치되는 구동부(Driver)를 더 포함하고,
상기 연성기판은 상기 구동부와 상기 측면전극을 전기적으로 연결하는 디스플레이 장치.
