Abstract
Description
도 2는 본 발명에 따른 유기 발광 소자의 한 예를 도시한 것이다.
도 3은 종래기술에 따른 유기물 층과 유리 기판 사이의 굴절율 차이로 인해 발생하는 빛의 손실에 대한 일 예를 도시한 것이다.
도 4는 본 발명에 따른 유기 발광 소자 중, 기판과 제1 전극 사이에 광산란층을 포함하여 유기물 층으로부터 발생된 빛의 손실을 방지할 수 있는 구성에 대한 일 예를 도시한 것이다.
도 5는 특정 굴절률 이하의 광산란층을 사용하였을 경우 발생하는 빛의 손실에 대해 특정 굴절률 이상의 광산란층을 사용하였을 경우와 비교한 것이다.
도 6은 본 발명의 액정층 형성용 조성물을 이용하여 제조된 콜레스테릭(Cholesteric) 액정층의 배향 구조를 도시한 것이다.
도 7은 본 발명에서 이용하는 산란층 내의 액정 배향 형태를 예시한 것이다.
도 8은 본 발명에서 이용하는 산란층 내의 액정 배향 형태와 비교하기 위한 액정 배향 형태를 예시한 것이다.

Claims (18)
- 기판, 제1 전극, 1층 이상의 유기물 층 및 제2 전극을 순차적으로 적층된 형태로 포함하는 유기 발광 소자에 있어서, 상기 기판과 제1 전극 사이에는 광산란층이 구비되며,
상기 광산란층은 상기 기판에 대하여 수직방향으로 배향된 액정을 포함하는 콜레스테릭(Cholesteric) 액정층을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 발광 소자. - 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 광산란층은 베이스 기재와 상기 베이스 기재 상에 위치하는 상기 콜레스테릭(Cholesteric) 액정층을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 발광 소자.
- 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 콜레스테릭(Cholesteric) 액정층은 액정의 나선축이 기판과 예각을 이루는 액정을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 발광 소자.
- 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 콜레스테릭(Cholesteric) 액정층은 액정의 나선축이 기판과 0˚~±30˚의 각도를 이루는 액정을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 발광 소자.
- 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 콜레스테릭(Cholesteric) 액정층은 ⅰ) 액정 물질, ⅱ) 카이럴 도펀트 및 ⅲ) 용매를 포함하는 액정층 형성용 조성물로부터 제조되는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 발광 소자.
- 청구항 5에 있어서, 상기 ⅰ) 액정 물질은 액정 모노머 및 중합개시제를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 발광 소자.
- 청구항 7에 있어서, 상기 액정 모노머는 광경화 또는 열경화가 가능한 반응기를 포함하는 것인 유기 발광 소자.
- 청구항 6에 있어서, 상기 ⅰ) 액정 물질 100 중량부에 대하여, 상기 액정 모노머의 함량은 80 내지 99.5 중량부이고, 상기 중합 개시제의 함량은 0.05 내지 20 중량부인 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 발광 소자.
- 청구항 5에 있어서, 상기 ⅰ) 액정 물질 100 중량부에 대하여 상기 ⅱ) 카이럴 도펀트의 함량은 0.001 내지 20 중량부인 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 발광 소자.
- 청구항 5에 있어서, 상기 액정층 형성용 조성물은 계면 활성제를 추가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 발광 소자.
- 청구항 11에 있어서, 상기 ⅰ) 액정 물질 100 중량부에 대하여 상기 계면 활성제의 함량은 0.01 내지 5 중량부인 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 발광 소자.
- 청구항 2에 있어서, 상기 베이스 기재와 콜레스테릭(Cholesteric) 액정층 사이에 배향막을 추가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 발광 소자.
- 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 콜레스테릭(Cholesteric) 액정층은 30 % 이상의 헤이즈(Haze) 값을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 발광 소자.
- 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 콜레스테릭(Cholesteric) 액정층의 두께는 0.1 ㎛ 이상인 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 발광 소자.
- 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 콜레스테릭(Cholesteric) 액정층의 굴절율은 1.52 초과인 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 발광 소자.
- 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 유기물 층은 발광층을 포함하고, 정공 주입층, 정공 수송층, 전자 수송층 및 전자 주입층 중에서 선택된 하나 이상을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 발광 소자.
- 기판 상에 제1 전극, 1층 이상의 유기물 층 및 제2 전극을 순차적으로 적층하는 단계를 포함하는 유기 발광 소자의 제작 방법에 있어서, 상기 기판과 제1 전극 사이에 광산란층을 형성하며,
상기 광산란층은 상기 기판에 대하여 수직방향으로 배향된 액정을 포함하는 콜레스테릭(Cholesteric) 액정층을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 청구항 1 내지 17 중 어느 하나의 항의 유기 발광 소자의 제조방법.
