Description
Claims (12)
- 입력 영상 신호에 대응하여 프레임 단위의 영상 데이터 및 상기 프레임의 개시를 식별하는 프레임 식별 신호를 생성하는 제어부;유기 발광 다이오드를 구비하는 복수의 화소들로 이루어지고, 상기 영상 데이터에 해당하는 화상을 표시하는 표시부;상기 표시부에 구동 전압을 인가하는 구동 전압 공급부; 및상기 프레임 식별 신호에 따라 상기 구동 전압 공급부로부터 상기 표시부로의 구동 전압 공급을 제어하는 스위칭부;를 포함하는 유기 발광 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서;상기 구동 전압 공급부는 입력 전압을 인가하는 전원부;및상기 전원부로부터의 입력 전압을 상기 입력 전압보다 높은 제 1 전압 및 상기 입력 전압보다 낮은 제 2 전압으로 변환하는 전압 변환부;를 포함하는 유기 발광 표시 장치.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 화소는 유기 발광 다이오드에 상기 영상 데이터에 해당하는 전류를 공급하는 구동 박막 트랜지스터를 포함하는 유기 발광 표시 장치.
- 제 3 항에 있어서,상기 구동 박막 트랜지스터는 게이트 전극에 상기 영상 데이터에 해당하는 데이터 전압이 인가되고,제 1 전극에 상기 구동 전압 공급부로부터의 제 1 전압이 인가되며 제 2 전극은 상기 유기 발광 다이오드와 연결된 유기 발광 표시 장치.
- 제 3 항에 있어서,상기 유기 발광 다이오드는 애노드 전극에 상기 구동 박막 트랜지스터의 제 2 전극이 연결되고,캐소드 전극에 상기 구동 전압 공급부로부터의 제 2 전압이 인가되는 유기 발광 표시 장치.
- 제 3 항에 있어서,상기 스위칭부는 상기 프레임 식별 신호의 제 1 레벨 전압이 인가되는 동안 상기 구동 전압 공급부에서 상기 구동 박막 트랜지스터의 제 1 전극으로 제 1 전압의 공급을 차단하고,상기 프레임 식별 신호의 제 2 레벨 전압이 인가되는 동안 상기 구동 전압 공급부에서 상기 구동 박막 트랜지스터의 제 1 전극으로 제 1 전압을 인가하도록 제어하는 유기 발광 표시 장치.
- 제 6 항에 있어서,상기 스위칭부는 상기 구동 전압 공급부의 출력단에 연결된 스위칭 소자 또는 레귤레이터인 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 발광 표시 장치.
- 제 7 항에 있어서,상기 스위칭 소자는 상기 프레임 식별 신호의 제 1 레벨 전압이 인가되는 동안 오프(OFF)되어 상기 제 1 전압의 공급을 차단하고,상기 프레임 식별 신호의 제 2 레벨 전압이 인가되는 동안 온(ON)되어 상기 제 1 전압을 인가하는 유기 발광 표시 장치.
- 제 7 항에 있어서,상기 레귤레이터는 상기 프레임 식별 신호의 제 1 레벨 전압이 인가되는 동안 디스에이블(DISABLE)되어 상기 제 1 전압의 공급을 차단하고,상기 프레임 식별 신호의 제 2 레벨 전압이 인가되는 동안 인에이블(ENABLE)되어 상기 제 1 전압을 인가하는 유기 발광 표시 장치.
- 입력 영상 신호에 해당하는 프레임 단위의 영상 데이터 및 상기 프레임의 개시를 식별하는 프레임 식별 신호를 생성하는 단계;복수의 화소들로 이루어지며 각 화소는 유기 발광 다이오드와 상기 유기 발광 다이오드에 전류를 공급하는 구동 박막 트랜지스터를 구비하는 표시부에 상기 영상 데이터에 해당하는 화상을 표시하는 단계; 및상기 프레임 식별 신호에 따라 상기 표시부로의 구동 전압의 공급을 제어하는 단계;를 포함하는 유기 발광 표시 장치의 구동 방법.
- 제 10 항에 있어서,상기 프레임 식별 신호의 제 1 레벨 전압이 인가되는 동안 상기 표시부의 구동 박막 트랜지스터로의 구동 전압의 공급을 차단하는 유기 발광 표시 장치의 구동 방법.
- 제 11 항에 있어서,상기 프레임 식별 신호의 제 2 레벨 전압이 인가되는 동안 상기 표시부의 구동 박막 트랜지스터에 구동 전압을 인가하여 화상을 표시하는 유기 발광 표시 장치의 구동 방법.
