Description
Claims (12)
- 미리 결정된 크기의 저장 영역을 가지는 저장매체를 포함하는 영상 처리시스템의 트랜스 코더에서, 서비스 별로 제공되는 비디오데이터들을 네트워크를 통해 각 사용자 별로 전송하는 방법에 있어서,상기 서비스 별로 제공되는 비디오데이터들을 상기 저장매체에 저장하는 과정과,상기 네트워크의 트래픽 상황을 검사하여 트랜스 코딩의 필요 여부를 결정하는 과정과,상기 트랜스 코딩이 필요하지 않을 시 상기 저장된 비디오데이터들을 상기 네트워크를 통해 각 사용자 별로 전송하는 과정과,상기 트랜스 코딩이 필요할 시 상기 저장된 비디오데이터들에 대한 트랜스 코딩을 수행하여 상기 각 사용자 별로 전송하는 과정을 포함하여,여기서 상기 서비스 별로 제공되는 비디오데이터들은 최상위 서비스 품질을 가지는 영상 정보들임을 특징으로 하는 상기 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 네트워크의 트래픽 상황은, 상기 네트워크를 통해 상기 비디오데이터를 제공받는 사용자 수에 의해 변화됨을 특징으로 하는 상기 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 네트워크의 트래픽 상황이 악화될 시 상기 트랜스 코딩이 필요하다고 결정함을 특징으로 하는 상기 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 트랜스 코딩은, 상기 저장매체에 저장된 최상위 서비스 품질을 가지는 비디오데이터들을 상대적으로 낮은 서비스 품질을 가지는 비디오데이터들로 변환하는 것임을 특징으로 하는 상기 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 비디오데이터들을 패킷화함에 있어, 상기 트랜스 코딩의 적용 시점(PTS:Presentation Time Stamp)에 관한 트랜스 코딩 포인트 정보를 포함시킴을 특징으로 하는 상기 방법.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 트랜스 코딩 포인트 정보는,트랜스포트 스트림(TS:Transprot Stream) 패킷의 헤더에 삽입되어 전송됨을 특징으로 하는 상기 방법.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 트랜스 코딩 포인트 정보는, 트랜스포트 스트림을 통해 전송되는 개인섹션내에 삽입되어 전송됨을 특징으로 하는 상기 방법.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 트랜스 코딩 포인트 정보는,PES 패킷의 헤더에 삽입되어 전송됨을 특징으로 하는 상기 방법.
- 영상 처리시스템에서, 각 사용자 별로 제공되는 비디오데이터들을 네트워크를 통해 수신하는 방법에 있어서,상기 각 사용자 별로 제공되는 비디오데이터를 수신하는 과정과,상기 비디오데이터에 트랜스 코딩 포인트 정보가 포함되었는지를 확인하는 과정과,상기 트랜스 코딩 포인트 정보가 포함되어 있지 않을 시 상기 수신한 비디오데이터를 디스플레이하는 과정과,상기 트랜스 코딩 포인트 정보가 포함되어 있으면, 트랜스 코딩된 비디오 데이터로서, 상기 트랜스 코딩 포인트 정보로부터 트랜스 코딩의 적용 시점(PTS : Presentation Time Stamp)을 확인하는 과정과,상기 트랜스 코딩 적용 시점에서 상기 수신한 비디오데이터의 디스플레이를 중단하고, 상기 트랜스 코딩된 비디오데이터를 디스플레이하는 과정을 포함하며,여기서 상기 수신한 비디오데이터는 상기 트랜스 코딩이 이루어지지 않은 최상위 서비스 품질을 가지는 비디오데이터이며, 상기 트랜스 코딩된 비디오데이터는 상기 수신된 비디오데이터에 비해 상대적으로 낮은 서비스 등급을 가지는 비디오데이터임을 특징으로 하는 상기 방법.
- 제9항에 있어서, 상기 트랜스 코딩 포인트 정보는,트랜스포트 스트림 패킷의 헤더에 삽입되어 전송됨을 특징으로 하는 상기 방법.
- 제9항에 있어서, 상기 트랜스 코딩 포인트 정보는, 트랜스포트 스트림을 통해 전송되는 개인섹션내에 삽입되어 전송됨을 특징으로 하는 상기 방법.
- 제9항에 있어서, 상기 트랜스 코딩 포인트 정보는,PES 패킷의 헤더에 삽입되어 전송됨을 특징으로 하는 상기 방법.
