Claims (19)
- 각각이 복수의 상이한 주파수 대역에서 동작하도록 구성되어 있는 복수의 다중 대역 액세스 포인트(AP)를 포함하는 무선 통신 시스템에서의 다중 대역 무선 송수신 유닛(WTRU)으로서,적어도 2개의 주파수 대역에서 동작하도록 구성되는 송수신기와;상기 다중 대역 AP로부터 수신하는 주파수 대역 정보를 처리하고, 상기 주파수 대역 정보에 기초하여 연관시킬 하나의 다중 대역 AP와, 이 다중 대역 AP와의 통신에 이용할 주파수 대역을 선택하는 처리기를 포함하는 다중 대역 무선 송수신 유닛.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 주파수 대역 정보는 각 주파수 대역에 대한 콸러티 메트릭을 포함하고, 상기 처리기는 상기 콸러티 메트릭에 기초하여 상기 AP 및 상기 주파수 대역을 선택하는 것인 다중 대역 무선 송수신 유닛.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 콸러티 메트릭은 각 주파수 대역에 대한 경로 손실, 부하, 스루풋, 용량 및 백홀 중 적어도 하나를 포함하는 것인 다중 대역 무선 송수신 유닛.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 다중 대역 AP는 상기 주파수 대역 정보를 브로드캐스 팅하고, 상기 송수신기는 브로드캐스트 채널을 통해 상기 주파수 대역 정보를 수신하는 것인 다중 대역 무선 송수신 유닛.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 송수신기는 비콘 채널을 통해 상기 주파수 대역 정보를 수신하는 것인 다중 대역 무선 송수신 유닛.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 처리기는 상기 다중 대역 AP에 프로브 요구를 송신하도록 구성되고, 상기 다중 대역 AP는 상기 프로브 요구에 응답하여 상기 주파수 대역 정보를 송신하는 것인 다중 대역 무선 송수신 유닛.
- 제6항에 있어서, 상기 처리기는 상기 프로브 요구에 상기 다중 대역 WTRU의 다중 대역 성능에 관한 정보를 포함시키도록 구성되고, 상기 다중 대역 AP는 상기 다중 대역 WTRU의 다중 대역 성능에 기초하여 상기 주파수 대역 정보를 생성하여 송신하는 것인 다중 대역 무선 송수신 유닛.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 처리기는 연관 요구 패킷을 송신하도록 구성되고, 상기 다중 대역 AP는 상기 연관 요구 패킷에 응답하여 상기 주파수 대역 정보를 송신하는 것인 다중 대역 무선 송수신 유닛.
- 제8항에 있어서, 상기 처리기는 상기 연관 요구 패킷에 상기 다중 대역 WTRU 의 다중 대역 성능에 관한 정보를 포함시키도록 구성되고, 상기 다중 대역 AP는 상기 다중 대역 WTRU의 다중 대역 성능에 기초하여 상기 주파수 대역 정보를 생성하여 송신하는 것인 다중 대역 무선 송수신 유닛.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 처리기는 상기 선택한 AP 및 다른 AP로부터 업데이트된 주파수 대역 정보를 수신하고, 이 업데이트된 주파수 대역 정보에 기초하여 상기 선택한 AP와의 연관을 해제시킬지 아니면 상기 선택한 주파수 대역을 변경할지를 판정하는 것인 다중 대역 무선 송수신 유닛.
- 복수의 다중 대역 액세스 포인트(AP)와 다중 대역 무선 송수신 유닛(WTRU)을 포함하는 무선 통신 시스템에서의 다중 대역 액세스 포인트(AP)로서,적어도 2개의 주파수 대역에서 동작하도록 구성되는 송수신기와;상기 다중 대역 AP가 동작하는 주파수 대역에 관한 주파수 대역 정보를 상기 다중 대역 WTRU에 송신함으로써, 상기 다중 대역 WTRU가 상기 주파수 대역 정보에 기초하여 연관시킬 하나의 다중 대역 AP와, 이 다중 대역 AP와의 통신에 이용할 주파수 대역을 선택할 수 있도록 구성되는 처리기를 포함하는 다중 대역 액세스 포인트.
- 제11항에 있어서, 상기 처리기는 상기 주파수 대역 정보에 각 주파수 대역에 대한 콸러티 메트릭을 포함시키도록 구성되고, 상기 다중 대역 WTRU는 상기 콸러티 메트릭에 기초하여 상기 AP 및 상기 주파수 대역을 선택하는 것인 다중 대역 액세스 포인트.
- 제12항에 있어서, 상기 콸러티 메트릭은 각 주파수 대역에 대한 경로 손실, 부하, 스루풋, 용량 및 백홀 중 적어도 하나를 포함하는 것인 다중 대역 액세스 포인트.
- 제11항에 있어서, 상기 처리기는 상기 주파수 대역 정보를 브로드캐스팅하도록 구성되는 것인 다중 대역 액세스 포인트.
- 제14항에 있어서, 상기 처리기는 비콘 채널을 통해 상기 주파수 대역 정보를 송신하도록 구성되는 것인 다중 대역 액세스 포인트.
- 제11항에 있어서, 상기 처리기는 상기 다중 대역 WTRU로부터 수신한 프로브 요구에 응답하여 상기 주파수 대역 정보를 송신하도록 구성되는 것인 다중 대역 액세스 포인트.
- 제16항에 있어서, 상기 처리기는 상기 프로브 요구에 포함된 상기 다중 대역 WTRU의 다중 대역 성능에 관한 정보에 기초하여 상기 주파수 대역 정보를 생성하여 송신하도록 구성되는 것인 다중 대역 액세스 포인트.
- 제11항에 있어서, 상기 처리기는 상기 다중 대역 WTRU로부터 수신한 연관 요구 패킷에 응답하여 상기 주파수 대역 정보를 송신하도록 구성되는 것인 다중 대역 액세스 포인트.
- 제18항에 있어서, 상기 처리기는 상기 연관 요구 패킷에 포함된 상기 다중 대역 WTRU의 다중 대역 성능에 관한 정보에 기초하여 상기 주파수 대역 정보를 생성하여 송신하도록 구성되는 것인 다중 대역 액세스 포인트.
