Claims (17)
- 적어도 하나의 전극을 포함하는, 주 저장고내에 전기영동 매체를 갖는 적어도 하나의 픽셀, 및 상기 픽셀이 다른 광학 상태가 되게 할 수 있는 수단을 포함하는 전기영동 디스플레이 디바이스로서, 상기 픽셀은 적어도 하나의 보조 저장고 및 적어도 하나의 추가 전극, 및 전기영동 입자를 전압을 통해 상기 보조 저장고에서 상기 주 저장고로 이동시키기 위한 구동 수단을 포함하는, 전기영동 디스플레이 디바이스.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 픽셀은 전극, 및 상기 주 저장고로부터 보조 저장고를 분리하거나 또는 상기 보조 저장고들을 서로 분리하기 위해 상기 전극에 전압을 인가하기 위한 수단을 포함하는, 전기영동 디스플레이 디바이스.

- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 주 저장고는 적어도 하나의 추가 전극을 포함하고, 상기 구동수단은 전압을 통해 중간 광학 상태를 실현하는, 전기영동 디스플레이 디바이스.
- 제 5항에 있어서, 상기 디스플레이 디바이스의 주 표면에 대해 횡방향에서 보면, 상기 픽셀은 상기 주 저장고의 적어도 2개의 측부를 따라서 보조 저장고를 포함하는, 전기영동 디스플레이 디바이스.
- 제 5항에 있어서, 멀티컬러 디스플레이에는, 전기영동 입자를 보조 저장고에서 상기 주 저장고로 선택적으로 이동시키기 위한 수단이 제공되는, 전기영동 디스플레이 디바이스.

- 제 10항에 있어서, 상기 주 저장고와 보조 저장고 사이에서의 전기영동 입자의 이동 방향에 대해 횡방향으로 전계를 생성하기 위한 수단이 제공되는, 전기영동 디스플레이 디바이스.
- 제 10항에 있어서, 상기 전기영동 입자 및 상기 주 저장고의 적어도 한 벽은 상호 접착 능력을 갖는, 전기영동 디스플레이 디바이스.
