Claims (31)
- 이동국(mobile station)의 위치 추적 프로세서(location processor)에 있어서,상기 이동국의 적어도 두 개의 부착점(points of attachment)에 관련된 부착 표지들(attachment indicators)을 수신하도록 구성된 입력부;상기 적어도 두 개의 부착점에 관련된 소정의 부착 표지들의 집합들을 저장하도록 구성된 메모리; 및상기 수신된 부착 표지들 및 상기 적어도 두 개의 소정 부착 표지들의 적어도 하나의 집합을 비교한 것에 기반하여 상기 이동국의 위치의 추정치를 제공하도록 구성된 추정 유니트(estimation unit)를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이동국의 위치 추적 프로세서.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 추정 유니트는,상기 수신된 부착 표지의 값들(attachment indicator values) 및 상기 적어도 두 개의 부착점들에 관련된 부착 표지값들의 집합들을 비교한 것에 기반하여 상기 이동국의 위치의 추정치를 제공하도록 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 이동국의 위치 추적 프로세서.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 수신된 부착 표지값들은 상기 이동국에 의하여 보고되는 것을 특징으로 하는 이동국의 위치 추적 프로세서.
- 제3항에 있어서,상기 부착 표지값들은 수신 신호 강도값들(received signal strength values)인 것을 특징으로 하는 이동국의 위치 추적 프로세서.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 부착 표지값들은 상기 이동국에 의하여 보고된 수신 신호 강도값들인 것을 특징으로 하는 이동국의 위치 추적 프로세서.
- 이동국 위치 추적 모듈에 있어서,적어도 두 개의 보고된 수신 신호 강도값들을 무선 네트워크 내의 적어도 두 개의 지리적 위치(geographical location)에 관련된 수신 신호 강도값들과 비교하도록 구성된 프로세서; 및상기 비교에 기반하여 이동국 위치 추정치를 제공하도록 구성된 출력부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이동국 위치 추적 모듈.
- 제6항에 있어서, 상기 프로세서는,상기 보고된 수신 신호 강도값들을 소정의 수신 신호 강도값들과 비교한 것에 관련된 점수를 결정하도록 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 이동국 위치 추적 모듈.
- 제6항에 있어서,상기 보고된 수신 신호 강도값들은 이동국 핸드오프(mobile-assisted handoff)와 관계가 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 이동국 위치 추적 모듈.
- 이동국의 위치를 추정하기 위한 위치 추적 유니트에 있어서,상기 이동국에 관련된 부착 표지값들을 수신하도록 구성된 입력부; 및네트워크 부착점들(network attachment points)에 관련된 소정의 부착 표지 컨투어들(attachment indicator contours)에 기반하여 이동국 위치의 추정치를 제공하도록 구성되는 프로세서를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이동국 위치 추적 유니트.
- 제9항에 있어서,상기 부착 표지값들은 상기 이동국에 의하여 보고된 수신 신호 강도값들이며, 상기 부착 표지 컨투어들은 수신 신호 강도 컨투어들인 것을 특징으로 하는 이동국 위치 추적 유니트.
- 이동국의 위치를 추적하기 위한 방법에 있어서,상기 이동국에 관련된 수신 신호 강도들의 집합을 획득하는 단계 및상기 수신 신호 강도들을 소정의 신호 강도들과 비교한 것에 기반하여 이동국 위치를 결정하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이동국의 위치 추적 방법.
- 제11항에 있어서, 상기 방법은,상기 수신 신호 강도들 및 소정의 신호 강도들에 기반하여 오차 스코어(error score)를 결정하는 단계를 더 포함하며,상기 이동국 위치는 선택된 오차 점수와 관련된 위치를 선택함으로써 결정되는 것을 특징으로 하는 이동국 위치 추적 방법.
- 제11항에 있어서, 상기 방법은,상기 소정의 신호 강도들을 저장하는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이동국 위치 추적 방법.
- 지리 정보 서비스 영역(geographic service area) 내에서 이동국의 위치를 추적하기 위한 방법에 있어서,상기 이동국의 일련의 부착점들과 관련된 부착 표지값들을 획득하는 단계; 및상기 이동국 부착 표지값들을 상기 일련의 부착점들과 관련된 소정의 부착표지값들과 비교하여 이동국 위치 추정치를 획득하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이동국 위치 추적 방법.
- 제14항에 있어서, 상기 방법은,상기 추정된 이동국 추정치를 보고하는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이동국 위치 추적 방법.
- 제14항에 있어서,상기 이동국의 상기 부착 표지값들은 상기 이동국에 의하여 보고되는 것을 특징으로 하는 이동국 위치 추적 방법.
- 제16항에 있어서,상기 부착 표지값들은 상응하는 무선 기지국들(radio base stations)에 관련된 수신 신호 강도값들인 것을 특징으로 하는 이동국 위치 추적 방법.
- 제14항에 있어서,상기 부착 표지값들은 상응하는 무선 기지국들에 관련된 수신 신호 강도값들인 것을 특징으로 하는 이동국 위치 추적 방법.
- 제14항에 있어서,상기 이동국 부착 표지값들 및 상기 소정의 부착 표지값들의 비교는, 상기 소정의 부착 표지값들과 관련된 스코어를 결정함으로써 수행되며, 추정된 이동국 위치는 상기 관련된 점수에 기반하여 선택되는 것을 특징으로 하는 이동국 위치 추적 방법.
- 이동국의 위치를 추적하기 위한 방법에 있어서,위성 위치 추적 시스템에 기반하여 위도 및 경도 위치 추정치 중 적어도 하나를 획득하는 단계; 및상기 위도 및 경도 추정치들에 관련된 지역 내에서, 이동국 부착 지시값들을 소정의 부착 지시값들과 비교한 것에 기반하여 이동국의 위치 추정치를 제공하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이동국 위치 추적 방법.
- 이동국의 위치를 추적하기 위한 방법에 있어서,복수 개의 안테나들로부터 한 이동국에 의하여 수신된 신호들과 관련된 신호 강도값들을 수신하는 단계;서비스 셀 사이트(serving cell site)의 지리적 통신 가능 영역(geographical coverage area)으로서 상기 이동국의 제1 위치 영역(location area)을 계산하는 단계; 및상기 수신된 신호 강도값들을 상기 지리적 통신 가능 영역 내의 적어도 하나의 위치에 관련된 소정의 신호 강도값들과 비교한 것에 기반하여 상기 이동국의제2 위치 영역을 계산하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이동국의 위치 추적 방법.
- 제21항에 있어서, 상기 방법은,적어도 하나의 전파 특성(propagation characteristic)에 기반하여 특성 부착 표지값들(characteristic attachment indicator values)을 계산하는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이동국의 위치 추적 방법.
- 제22항에 있어서,상기 적어도 하나의 전파 특성은 송신 전력, 전파 경로 경사 및 안테나 패턴 롤오프(roll-off)로 구성된 그룹에서 선택된 것을 특징으로 하는 이동국의 위치 추적 방법.
- 이동국의 위치 추정치를 제공하도록 구성된 네트워크에 있어서,상기 네트워크의 특성 부착 표지값들 및 상기 이동국에 관련된 보고 부착 표지값들에 기반하여 위치 추정치를 생성하도록 구성된 프로세서; 및상기 위치 추정치를 제공하도록 구성된 출력부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이동국의 위치 추정치를 제공하도록 구성된 네트워크.
- 제24항에 있어서, 상기 네트워크는,상기 특성 부착 표지값들을 포함하는 데이터베이스를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이동국의 위치 추정치를 제공하도록 구성된 네트워크.
- 제24항에 있어서, 상기 프로세서는,적어도 하나의 전파 특성에 기반하여 특성 부착 표지값들을 결정하도록 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는, 이동국의 위치 추정치를 제공하도록 구성된 네트워크.
- 이동국를 가지고 공적으로 안전한 응답 지점(PSAP, public-safety answering point)으로부터 서비스들을 요구하기 위한 방법에 있어서,상기 이동국로부터 상기 공적으로 안전한 응답 지점(PSAP)으로 메시지를 전달하는 단계; 및상기 공적으로 안전한 응답 지점(PSAP)에, 이동국 부착 표지값들 및 특성 부착 표지값들을 비교한 것에 기반하여 이동국 위치의 추정치를 제공하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이동국를 이용한 서비스 요구 방법.
- 네트워크 내의 서비스를 신청하지 않는 이동국(non-subscribing mobile station)의 위치 추정치를 제공하기 위한 방법에 있어서,상기 이동국로부터 일련의 부착 표지값들을 수신하는 단계; 및상기 네트워크와 관련된 특성 부착 표지값들에 기반하여 이동국 위치를 추정하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이동국 위치 추정치 제공 방법.
- 무선 네트워크의 적어도 일부분의 특성 부착 표지값들을 결정하기 위한 방법에 있어서,상기 특성 부착 표지값을 측정하는 단계; 및데이터베이스 내에 상기 특성 부착 표지값들을 저장하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 무선 네트워크의 특성 부착 표지값 결정 방법.
- 제29항에 있어서, 상기 방법은,적어도 하나의 위성 위치 추적 시스템 좌표를 측정된 상기 특성 부착 표지값들과 연관시키는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 무선 네트워크의 특성 부착 표지값 결정 방법.
- 네트워크 특성 부착 표지값들의 데이터베이스를 변경하기 위한 방법에 있어서,상기 이동국에 의하여 보고된 부착 표지값들을 상기 특성 부착 표지값들과 비교한 것에 기반하여 이동국의 위치를 추정하는 단계;상기 이동국로부터 관련된 위성 위치 추적 시스템(GPS)의 위치 추정치를 획득하는 단계; 및상기 이동국 위치 추정치 및 상기 GPS 위치 추정치를 비교한 것에 기반하여 적어도 하나의 특성 부착 표지값을 변경하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는네트워크 특성 부착 표지값의 데이터베이스 개정 방법.
