Abstract

본 발명에는 휴대용 통신 장치가 개시된다. 개시된 통신 장치는 상면과 하면을 포함하는 메인 하우징과, 상면과 하면을 포함하는 폴더와, 상기 메인 하우징에서 폴더를 회전가능하게 연결시키는 힌지 수단으로 구성된 통신 장치에 있어서, (a) 상기 메인 하우징의 하면 모서리 부근에 제공되어 상기 힌지 수단과 대면하는 카메라 렌즈 개방 수단; (b) 상기 개구 양측에 각각 제공된 사이드 아암; (c) 상기 폴더의 상하면에 각각 제공된 제1,2엘씨디; 및 (d) 상기 힌지 수단에 소정의 방향으로 카메라 렌즈가 향하게 제공되는 힌지 카메라 하우징으로 구성되어짐으로서, 상기 폴더가 열린 경우에 상기 카메라 렌즈가 사용자에게 대면할 수 있게 노출되고, 상기 폴더가 닫힌 경우에 상기 카메라 렌즈 어셈블리가 상기 개구를 통하여 사용자에게 노출되는 구성된다.

Description

폴더가 닫힌 상태에서 카메라 렌즈 개방 수단을 구비한 휴대용 통신 장치{PORTABLE PHONE WITH CAMERA LENZ OPENING MEANS IN CLOSED FOLDER}
본 발명은 휴대용 통신 장치에 관한 것으로서, 특히 폴더가 닫힌 상태에서도 카메라 렌즈를 이용하여 피사체를 촬영할 수 있는 통신 장치에 관한 것이다.
보편화된 휴대용 통신 장치는 기지국과 무선 통신을 수행하여 사용자에게 통신 서비스를 제공한다. 이러한 휴대용 통신 장치는 음성 통신 또는 화상 통신을 위해 사용되기도 하고, 인터넷 통신 즉, 이메일 전송이나 인터넷 게임 또는 문자 전송 메시지 등을 위해 사용되기도 한다. 상기 휴대용 통신 장치는 셀룰러 폰, 디지털 폰, 피디에이(PDA) 또는 핸드 헬드 피씨(HHP) 등을 예로 들 수 있다. 아울러, 상기 휴대용 통신 장치는 외관상 바-형(bar-type))이나, 플립-형(flip-type)이나 폴더-형(folder-type) 등으로 구분되기도 하고, 착용위치에 따라서 손목착용-형(wrist-type)이나 목착용-형(neck wearable type) 통신 장치로 분류되기도 한다.
이러한 여러 분류로 구분되는 통신 장치 중, 화상 통신을 위한 통신 장치는 피사체를 촬영할 수 있는 촬영 장치가 필요하다. 이러한 촬영 장치는 카메라 렌즈 어셈블리가 사용된다. 공지의 카메라 렌즈 어셈블리는 카메라 렌즈와, 씨씨디 소자와, 회로물로 이루어진다. 상기한 종래의 단말기 중, 카메라 렌즈를 구비한 폴더형 단말기를 예를 들어서 종래의 통신 장치의 구성에 대해서 설명하기로 한다. 도 1, 도 2에 도시된 바와 같이, 종래의 폴더형 단말기는 메인 하우징(50)과, 폴더(60)와, 상기 메인 하우징(50)과 폴더(60)를 회전가능하게 연결시키는 힌지 수단으로 구성된다. 상기 폴더(60)는 힌지축(A)을 중심으로 메인 하우징(50)에서 개폐된다.
상기 메인 하우징(50)은 다수의 키(512)들이 배열되고, 마이크 장치(514)가 장착된다. 상기 폴더(60)에는 카메라 렌즈(70)와, 스피커(612)와, 엘씨디(614)가 장착된다. 상기 힌지 수단은 메인 하우징에 제공된 사이드 힌지 아암(510)과, 상기 사이드 힌지 아암(510)과 동축으로 결합되며, 상기 폴더(60)에 제공된 센터 힌지 아암(610)으로 구성된다. 사용자는 상대방과 화상 통화를 하거나 피사체를 촬영하기 위해서는 상기 폴더(60)를 소정의 각도 이상으로 힌지축(A)을 중심으로 개방시켜야 한다. 그리고, 사용자는 카메라 렌즈(70)와 대면한 자세에서 화상 통화를 하는 구조였다.
그러나, 종래의 화상 통신을 위하여 카메라 렌즈를 구비한 휴대용 통신 장치는 다음과 같은 문제점이 발생하였다. 상기 폴더를 메인 하우징에서 통화를 하기 위하여 소정 각도 이상으로 연 경우에만 카메라 렌즈가 사용자와 대면할 수 있는 구조였다. 따라서, 폴더를 열지 않고서는 피사체의 촬영이 불가능하였다.
따라서, 본 발명의 목적은 폴더가 닫힌 상태에서 카메라 렌즈를 이용하여 피사체를 촬영할 수 있는 휴대용 통신 장치를 제공함에 있다.
본 발명의 다른 목적은 메인 하우징의 후단 저면에 개구가 제공되어서 폴더가 닫히더라도 카메라 렌즈가 개구를 통하여 노출될 수 있는 휴대용 통신 장치를제공함에 있다.
상기한 목적들을 달성하기 위하여 본 발명은 상면과 하면을 포함하는 메인 하우징과, 상면과 하면을 포함하는 폴더와, 상기 메인 하우징에서 폴더를 회전가능하게 연결시키는 힌지 수단으로 구성된 통신 장치에 있어서,
(a) 상기 메인 하우징의 하면 모서리 부근에 제공되어 상기 힌지 수단과 대면하는 카메라 렌즈 개방 수단;
(b) 상기 개구 양측에 각각 제공된 사이드 아암;
(c) 상기 폴더의 상하면에 각각 제공된 제1,2엘씨디; 및
(d) 상기 힌지 수단에 소정의 방향으로 카메라 렌즈가 향하게 제공되는 힌지 카메라 하우징으로 구성되어짐으로서, 상기 폴더가 열린 경우에 상기 카메라 렌즈가 사용자에게 대면할 수 있게 노출되고, 상기 폴더가 닫힌 경우에 상기 카메라 렌즈 어셈블리가 상기 개구를 통하여 사용자에게 노출되는 구성된다.

도 4는 본 발명의 바람직한 제1실시 예에 따른 폴더가 닫힌 휴대용 통신 장치를 나타내는 사시도.
도 5는 본 발명의 바람직한 제1실시 예에 따른 폴더가 열린 휴대용 통신 장치를 나타내는 사시도.
도 6, 도 7은 본 발명의 바람직한 제1실시 예에 따른 휴대용 통신 장치의 저면을 나타내는 사시도.
도 8은 본 발명의 바람직한 제2실시 예에 따른 휴대용 통신 장치의 저면을 나타내는 사시도.
이하에서는 첨부도면을 참조하여 본 발명의 바람직한 일 실시 예를 상세히 설명하기로 한다. 본 발명을 설명함에 있어, 관련된 공지기능 혹은 구성에 대한 구체적인 설명은 본 발명의 요지를 모호하지 않게 하기 위하여 생략한다.
도 4 내지 도 7에 도시된 바와 같이, 본 발명에 따른 휴대용 통신 장치는 카메라 렌즈(30)를 폴더(20)쪽에 구비하고, 상기 폴더(20)의 개폐동작에 관계없이 원하는 피사체를 촬영할 수 있는 통신 장치를 의미한다. 상기 피사체는 사용자나 원하는 촬영하고 싶은 목적물이 될 수 있다. 즉, 본 발명의 통신 장치는 폴더(20)의 개폐여부에 상관없이 카메라 렌즈(30)가 사용자에게 개방되어 사용자는 원하는 피사체를 촬영할 수 있다. 도 1에 도시된 휴대용 통신 장치는 외관상 폴더형 단말기이다.
구체적으로 상기 통신 장치는 메인 하우징(10)과, 카메라 렌즈(30)를 포함하는 힌지 카메라 하우징(210)을 포함하는 폴더(20)와, 상기 메인 하우징(10)과 폴더(20)를 회전가능하게 연결시키는 힌지 수단 및 상기 메인 하우징(10)의 저면(10b) 소정위치에 제공되어 폴더(20)가 닫힌 경우에도 카메라 렌즈(30)를 개방시키는 카메라 렌즈 개방수단(118)으로 구성된다. 상기 카메라 렌즈 개방 수단(118)은 소정 형상의 개구(118)(opening)가 바람직하다. 상기 폴더(20)는 힌지 축(A)을 중심으로 메인 하우징(10)에서 개폐된다. 또한, 상기 힌지 수단은 힌지축(A)을 따라서 배열된 양 사이드 힌지 아암(110)과, 상기 양 사이드 힌지 아암(110) 사이에 놓여 결합되는 카메라 힌지 하우징(210)으로 구성된다. 상기 사이드 힌지 아암(110)은 메인 하우징(10)의 상면(10a)에서 돌출된 형상으로 제공되고, 상기 카메라 힌지 하우징(210)은 원통형으로 폴더(20)에 제공된다. 아울러, 상기 개구(118) 양측으로 사이드 아암이 제공된다.
상기 메인 하우징(10)은 상면 및 측면 소정위치에 다수의 키(112)들의 배열로 이루어진 키 어레이와, 마이크 장치(114)를 포함한다. 상기 폴더(20)는 상면(20a)에 제공된 제1엘씨디(214)와, 하면(20b)에 제공된 제2엘씨디(216) 및 힌지 카메라 하우징(210)을 포함한다. 상기 힌지 카메라 하우징(210)에 미 도시된 카메라 렌즈 어셈블리가 내장된다. 상기 미 도시된 카메라 렌즈 어셈블리는 카메라 렌즈(30)와, 공지의 씨씨디 소자 및 씨씨디 소자와 접속된 회로물로 이루어진다. 도면에서는 카메라 렌즈(30)만이 도시된다. 상기한 카메라 렌즈, 씨씨디 소자는 당해분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진자라면 용이하게 이해할 수 있을 것이다.
이 때, 상기 카메라 힌지 하우징(210)은 상기 폴더(20)와 일체형으로 구성된다. 따라서 상기 폴더(20)의 회전에 따라서 상기 카메라 힌지 하우징(210)도 함께 회전한다.
상기 메인 하우징(10)의 저면 모서리에 제공된 개구(118)는 힌지 수단과 대면하는 곳에 위치한다. 그 이유는 상기 폴더(20)에 제공된 카메라 렌즈(30)가 폴더(20)의 개폐동작에 따라서 함께 회전하는 경우, 상기 폴더(20)가 닫힌 상태에서도 피사체를 촬영하기 위해서이다. 상기 폴더(20)가 메인 하우징(10)에서 완전히 열린 경우, 상기 카메라 렌즈(30)는 사용자에게 노출되어 대면할 수 있는 위치이고, 상기 폴더(20)가 닫힌 경우, 상기 카메라 렌즈(30)는 개구(118)를 통해서 사용자에게 노출되어 사용자는 카메라 렌즈(30)를 이용하여 피사체를 촬영할 수 있다. 즉, 상기 폴더(20)가 닫힌 경우, 상기 카메라 렌즈(30)는 개구(118)에 위치한다. 또한, 상기 개구(118)는 메인 하우징의 저면(10b) 모서리에 부근에 형성된다.
바람직하게, 상기 폴더(20)가 열린 경우, 상기 카메라 렌즈(30)를 통하여 촬영된 데이터는 제1엘씨디(214)를 통하여 디스플레이되고, 상기 폴더(20)가 닫힌 경우, 상기 카메라 렌즈(30)를 통하여 촬영된 데이터는 제2엘씨디(216)를 통하여 디스플레이된다.
도 5에 도시된 바와 같이, 부가적으로 폴더가 닫힌 상태에서 사용되는 카메라 렌즈를 외부 환경으로부터 보호하기 위하여 투명 창(40)이 구비될 수 있다.
한편, 본 발명의 상세한 설명에서는 구체적인 실시 예에 관해서 설명하였으나, 본 발명의 범위에서 벗어나지 않는 한도내에서 여러 가지 변형이 가능함을 당해 분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자에게 있어서 자명하다 할 것이다.
이상으로 살펴본 바와 같이, 본 발명은 힌지 수단과 대면하는 메인 하우징의 모서리쪽에 개구를 형성함으로서, 폴더가 닫힌 경우에도 카메라 렌즈를 이용하여 피사체를 촬영하면서 촬영된 데이터를 엘씨디를 통하여 확인할 수 있게 되었다.

Claims (6)

  1. 상면과 하면을 포함하는 메인 하우징과, 상면과 하면을 포함하는 폴더와, 상기 메인 하우징에서 폴더를 회전가능하게 연결시키는 힌지 수단으로 구성된 통신 장치에 있어서,
    (a) 상기 메인 하우징의 하면 모서리 부근에 제공되어 상기 힌지 수단과 대면하는 카메라 렌즈 개방 수단;
    (b) 상기 카메라 렌즈 개방 수단의 양측에 각각 제공된 사이드 아암;
    (c) 상기 폴더의 상하면에 각각 제공된 제1,2엘씨디; 및
    (d) 상기 힌지 수단에 소정의 방향으로 카메라 렌즈가 향하게 제공되는 힌지 카메라 하우징으로 구성되어짐으로서, 상기 폴더가 열린 경우에 상기 카메라 렌즈가 사용자에게 대면할 수 있게 노출되고, 상기 폴더가 닫힌 경우에 상기 카메라 렌즈 어셈블리가 상기 카메라 렌즈 개방 수단을 통하여 사용자에게 노출되는 구성임을 특징으로 하는 통신 장치.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 폴더가 닫힌 경우, 상기 카메라 렌즈는 상기 카메라 렌즈 개방 수단에 위치함을 특징으로 하는 통신 장치.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 카메라 힌지 하우징은 상기 폴더와 일체형으로 구성되어짐을 특징으로 하는 통신 장치.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 카메라 렌즈 개방 수단은 메인 하우징의 후단에 위치하는 모서리에 형성되어짐을 특징으로 하는 통신 장치.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 폴더가 열린 경우에 상기 카메라 렌즈를 이용하여 촬영된 데이터가 제1엘씨디에 디스플레이되고, 상기 폴더가 닫힌 경우에 상기 카메라 렌즈를 이용하여 촬영된 데이터가 제2엘씨디에 디스플레이되어짐을 특징으로 하는 통신 장치.
  6. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 카메라 렌즈 개방 수단은 투명 창을 더 구비함을 특징으로 하는 통신 장치.
